  1. Past hour
  2. We treat these players like the disposable commodities they are.
  3. Agree on both counts. I think the fan base is down on Cossa a little more than we should be. His value on the trade market would be well above his draft position. Lots of teams would see him as an immediate upgrade, and one with room for development.
  4. McKinstry returns...Short DFA.
  5. Today
  6. once again, success in sweden doesnt translate to the smaller ice/more physical north american game. a year in GR would do ASP good. time to bulk up a bit.
  7. if they dealt a goalie, i imagine its as part of a package for ep40 or some other established nhl player. i dont think the wings would deal cossa for prospects.
  8. Short is out of options, so probably hedging against him not making it through waivers or sticking around if he does.
  9. I expect to see JB keep Ausar on the bench like he attempted in Magic series early on. Ausar on the floor is a instant double on Cade. This is the same logic he used chaining Holland to a urinal in the locker room.
  10. Ya this would be along the lines of what I was thinking. If you look at Askarov and Cossa's AHL stats they are eerily similar.....down to both not having great playoff stats though Askarov has twice the games. Cossa's value is most likely a little less than Askarov just purely from the standpoint that Askarov was a better prospect and had slightly better playoff stats .906 vs .893 save percentages.
  11. Heard it had something to do with forgetting to put a cover sheet on his TPS report, which is unforgivable.
  12. With how things have been going in the AHL I imagine we see ASP in Grand Rapids next season and Wallinder + Anton Johansson being more likely to make the NHL MBN is having a great playoffs right now too, if he can translate his improvement over this season to the NHL next season that would be great
  13. I wouldn't be so happy about Cade's matchups. Against Tyson he was 5-18. Against Mobley he was 5-15. Not sure about Wade, apparently he didn't guard Cade much this year so maybe that's a better matchup this year even though it hadn't been in the past. Struss is a decent defender with size. Hopefully JB will run screens to get some of the weaker defenders on Cade. Problem is that Mobley will be lurking and Cleveland's big men eat up Cade's drives. In order to prevent Mobley from roaming, they'll need to do what they did to Orlando and pull Ausar into the screening action. But Mobley isn't Suggs who Cade can dominate in the paint. You don't want that switch. A smarter move might be to run off ball screens with Ausar and Duncan to force Cleveland to switch in order to prevent the open three. That will lock Mobley on a guy he can't leave. Now you're free to run your offense, pull Ausar into another screen to get Cade a mismatch, or whatever. Mobley can't leave the shooter or you make him pay. Overall though I think Cade will need to have that three point shot and the middy rolling like he did in the last three games against Orlando otherwise it could be a long series for him (and us). Your point about Harris being guarded by Harden is a good one. In general, the Pistons should do everything they can to target Harden on defense over and over the same way they'll try to target Duncan. He's decent at deflections but not much else on defense because he gives zero effort. He can't really guard anyone on the court. You're point about Duren being stronger is a good one as well. I was surprised to see he actually had some really good games against Cleveland's front line this year. But so did Allen, going for 20+ in 2 out of 3 games. Mobley had some killers against us as well, averaging 18 pts, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 blocks, and nearly 45% from three.

We would hear even more "but land CAN vote!" statements! What If The US Had The Canadian Electoral System (~100k per district) The map above shows what the US House would look like if it had 100k people per district vs the over 750k people per district today. Overall, you’d have a house with 3,350 members, which in this map would mean 1692 Democrats and 1658 Republicans. INSETS (if you have a hard time) Alaska: Anchorage inset; Hawaii: Honolulu/Oahu inset (easy enough, but I put them here on a technicality) LEFT, Third row: Los Angeles/San Diego; San Francisco Bay Area; Seattle/Puget Sound; Portland, OR; Minneapolis RIGHT New York City Second row: Philadelphia (and Trenton, NJ), Boston Third row: Atlanta, Hampton Roads, Washington DC/Baltimore Fourth row: Miami, Chicago/Milwaukee, (top) Tampa Bay, (bottom) Orlando BOTTOM ROW: Sacramento; Las Vegas; Phoenix; Denver; El Paso; San Antonio/Austin; Dallas/Fort Worth; Houston; St. Louis; Detroit; Cleveland; Columbus, OH; Pittsburgh

  16. if someone wants to pay duren north of $30m, let them. of course, we all know were going to pay duren. were just fooling ourselves.
  17. Their parents could not be prouder that President Trump is teaching their children about real life, I would imagine the mental gymnastics they engage in to be.
  18. I still haven't quite figured out what he is trying to accomplish by constantly making the most outrageous braggadocio claims possible. I think it might be related to the overall distraction strategy, so that we end up talking as much or more about the style of his brags versus the actual gravely important substance of topics he's bragging on. It's a way to mask the abject awfulness of the things he is doing, because it puts less pressure on him to defend the actual substance of his actions (beyond "you're a terrible person for asking me that"). I acknowledge that some will counter that Trump has a brain equivalent to a drain fly so he's not simply capable of conceiving or carrying out strategy or tactics, and that everything he does is statistically random and incapable of direction.
  19. “It’s for sure a white man’s world in America. Yeah, I raised that boy since he was the size of a pissant. And I’ll say right now, he never learned to read and write. No, sir! Had no brains a-tall. Was stuffed with rice pudding between the ears. Shortchanged by the Lord, and dumb as a jackass. Look at him now. Yessir, all you gotta be is white in America to get whatever you want. “Gobbledygook!”
  20. Regular season Duren isn't even worth a max contract. You don't max a Center unless he's an MVP candidate. You laugh uncontrollably if an agent brings up the max for a rim running Center that isn't a good defender and can't shoot outside of 3 feet. He's a starter and a high level role player. Average starter salary is 23M, so he should get just a bit more than that.
  21. I have no fear of the Knicks or the Sixers. Getting past Cleveland will be a much tougher challenge.
  22. Sounds right up Weaver's alley. He wanted to draft Duren at #5.
  23. Barack Obama once said "you didn't build that" and what he said was taken completely out of context. We had to have an entire election cycle's worth of TV ads bashing President Obama on his out of context statement and weeks worth of stories on Fox News about it. This was back in the 2012 election cycle, so in my libertarian days, I was probably one of the critics, criticizing Obama for it. Shame on me, I was wrong for it if I did it back then. But the amount of things that Donald Trump says on a daily basis, minute by minute, that would have torpedoed Obama's campaign is just insane. On gas prices alone over the last month, he's up to at minimum, half a dozen statements or so, that would have spelled disaster for Obama. It would have meant their campaign would be in damage control for multiple news cycles and we all collectively would have had to suffer through months worth of TV ads, digital ads, mail pieces attacking him on it. It is mind boggling how all in the name of "fairness", "bothsidseisms", and "revenue from ratings" we have to suffer through Trump saying these things while suffering minimal to no consequences as a result of what he said. It's frankly ****ing exhausting having to live through this blatantly obvious double standard.

  25. Seriously, though, how can this be real life?
