All gerrymandering should be outlawed. the extreme examples in many states - such as illinois, which is one of the most extreme - dilute people's votes no matter their race. trump has turned gerrymandering into an even worse and more bitter process, just like he does with everything. the vra and other such laws that attempt to "level the playing field" for racial minorities run up against the interpretation of the 14th amendment that any preferences on the basis of race are unconstitutional. there are different interpretations of the 14th that may come into fashion in the future that would reverse these current lines of cases.

Yeah, it's one thing to cheat on your spouse, it's another if you were sharing team secrets. I know that seems really callous to say, but looking at it from the team's perspective it's true. It's the same reason why sports handles things like cocaine use differently than something like gambling. Society looks at one as being much worse than the other, but in sports the gambling is a bigger "sin."

Power brick with a mag charger is the ticket for traveling. Depending on how many phone charges you can get from it you probably only need to charge it every 3rd day or so and if your traveling by car all day, pickup a 12V->usb C charger (a few cars now have them built in) and recharge the brick while you're traveling.

I've found that they want you to use the USB connector on their fixtures... but that's a crapshoot because it seems one switch has to be on then the fixture off.... I don't know. It's annoying for sure. I guess less hassle for them to pay electricians to manage it. A friend of mine used to be the guy at the Hyatt in Dearborn.

Are you aware of the story behind McMahon buying that time slot? I don't remember it at the time but have seen clips of the WWF/WWE programming in the studio, which looks so weird. THe locals didn't like it and McMahon sold it to Ted for like $1M which he used to fund Wrestlemania.

We've been doing a bit of traveling lately. That means a several stays at hotels. I've discovered trying to find outlets for our devices has become somewhat a scavenger hunt. The biggest peeve in the night stand tables beside the bed. About half the places we've stayed (all Marriott brands) have no or one outlet. I travel with a combination phone/watch charger. I tend to use the phone as a clock at night since most of these places have discontinued providing clocks in the room. If there is an outlet, I'm ok. Unfortunately several lately don't unless its an electrical outlet next the wall. Tonight (TownPlace Suites) no bedside outlet. There are two on my wife's side of the bed, as well as two USB ports. Two on the desk the other side of the room, with USB ports. Even two on the arm of the couch. (Farthest away from the bed) with USB ports. I just want a little constancy, especially on my side of the bed. If I wake up in the middle of the night I'd likev to know what time it is without wandering around a dark room looking for my phone.
