  3. Ok, 1-0 now on a sac fly by Ri-Ri
  4. Montero says if the infielders arent gonna allow him to catch pop-ups, he'll just strike out Clemens. 😆
  5. The biggest shock on that list is probably Karim Lopez. Sam currently has him going #23 to Atlanta. But he does say his range is 11-25.
  6. I went to get my looting gear yesterday. I'm ready to get me something good
  7. Holton's been good enough the past five appearances, one run in three innings, six hits but a .545 BABIP, 2.77 FIP and 3.74 xFIP during that time. And he's left-handed, so that helps him. I don't think he's going anywhere quite yet.
  8. Supported the very same people who cry “Rule of Law” against “illegal” immigrants being deported for minor offenses, comparatively speaking.
  9. Unless Cat asks out (which would surprise me) I hope they keep and extend him.
  10. I mean it ranks below his Nazism, domestic abuse, rape and murder fetishes, and pathological lying. Oh, and there’s no track record of him being a progressive and he’s voted for Collins in the past. Yeah, it’s all we have left.
  11. Today
  12. Give me this as a pitching staff in the near future: Skubal/Valdez/Mize/Flaherty/Melton Madden/Montero/Anderson/De Jesus/Sommers/Jansen/Finnegan/Vest Holton and Hanifee can go to Toledo and work some stuff out. Holton can come back if Sommers struggles. Verlander can “have soreness” and go to the 60-day DL and maybe come back when rosters expand to finish out his career.
  13. That's already baked in, apparently, and primary voters voted around the issue. If it is truly a disqualifying issue, the voters will reject him in November. It's all people have left for dismissing the guy. Unless people are harboring fantasies of him getting run off the ballot before November and replaced with a perfect progressive paragon?
  14. Yeah I’d honestly rather have the multi inning guys right now rather than the one-inning wildcards like Brieske. Madden and Montero have at least been pretty consistently solid.
  15. One of the lovely people Trump pardoned, that would be a likely recipient of the slush fund money.
  16. Franyerber starting his rehab today!
  17. This is very good, just needs several random Caps or All Caps to be spot on.
  18. I am very concerned about the goalie situation. Neither of these guys are very good. I have my doubts if the backs in front of them can avoid hanging them out to dry by making massive mistakes.
  19. Mexico starts today. Think at 3 p.m. Will be at a work function so I'm going to miss it.
  20. I know. I remember that game well. They actually had a decent shot at winning that game. Realistically this is about what you can hope for at its highest level at the World Cup. I don't think this cycle's team is that team either. That squad seemed to know what it's identity was, embraced it and got the most out of its squad. What I remember about that cycle was how close they came to not making the World Cup (yes and no). It was the first time I really followed the process of World Cup qualifying and the US had to beat I think Barbados in its final game of the semifinal group stage round just to qualify for the final round-robin round. I was nervous figuring anything can happen, but the US crushed Barbados pretty easily. I could be wrong about this but I think the 2002 cycle was the start of the series of 2-0 wins the US had against Mexico during World Cup qualifying tournaments. ------------- One tournament I remember well was the Confederations Cup (that tournament they used to host a summer before the World Cup in the country of the World Cup host) when the US advanced to the final and lost to Brazil in the final. I can't recall the cycle to be honest. That was a small tournament, but a fun one to watch.
  21. I agree like the Thailand league or maybe Laos.
  22. The point that is being missed here is that Platner's whole deal was that he is a working class stiff who supported himself with his oyster farm. It is all a con job.
