  1. And nobody is giving Michigan State credit for tying Ohio State in the second half yesterday. Buncha Debbie Downers.

  2. michigan is 10-1 and ranked in the top 5 going into the last game of the year. beat wisconsin and penn state on the road. only loss to msu in a game they should have won and they got screwed by the refs (as usual.in EL). how many of you would have taken that before the season started? hint: all of you except tater who thinks every season with any loss is a failure and cause for the coach to be fired. 7 seasons under harbaugh, 4 years with 10 wins. in today's day and age and with michigan's internal constraints, that's pretty damn good. i expect them to lose to ohio state because ohio state is the most talented team in the conference by far. but i expect them to finish the season in pasadena, which isnt so bad when you think about it.

  3. The reality is that the state that perfected and mainstreamed the concept of mass mail-in voting was Florida. Which has had Republican Governors in charge since I was 2. And it has been widely used in a lot of western, R-led states like Utah, Idaho and Arizona for years as well. And while I dont know that Dems previously complained or not when they weren't as nimble at turning out voters for mail-in ballots, the reality is that that form of voting only became a bogeyman for Rs when Donald Trump made it a bogeyman for Rs.

  4. It's not a video game. Those guys aren't taking these short little deals that are crazy team friendly.

  5. he wasnt "waving it around." you can think he should not have been there. you can think his presence there with an assault rifle was a major instigator to what happened. you can think he is the furthest thing from a hero and is as responsible for what happened as the people who attacked him. i think all of those things. but by the letter of the law and the facts of the case, the jury's decision was probably correct given what the law is. its not because of some racist judge. it's not because of some racist jury. its not because of the false narrative sent by the liberal media or the conservative media. its about the law in wisconsin and the facts of this case.

  6. I hate to break it to you but there isn't some unicorn Head Coach out there that is going to come to UM and make them compete against OSU. Harbaugh has done about the best a Michigan run program can do recruiting but he still hasn't come close to getting the amount of talent OSU has. The past 7 years OSU has gotten 40 5* recruits to Michigan's 8(still 6th most in the country so not bad), seriously with that type of talent disparity you could have Bill Belicheck out there and you'll be hard pressed to win. Sure OSU isn't invincible so Michigan should beat once in a while but if you expect them to beat them anymore than say once every 5 years you're going to be disappointed no matter the coach, atleast as things stand now. If suddenly things change with recruits and teams like OSU, Bama and Georgia stop getting all the 5 star players then maybe things will be different but until then we're going to keep losing to OSU regularly no matter the coach.

  7. This may be a hot take, but we'd probably all be better off paying less attention to these high profile cases because of how easily they can be manipulated by folks who seek to divide us.

  8. The Lions have basically lost all their best players and were still in it against a team that fancies itself a playoff contender.

  9. every one of your posts should start with "thanks mike, long time listener, first time caller..."

  10. tp was in the throes of typing "run play on 3rd and 8, campbell sucks as a playcaller" and then had to delete the post.

  12. The highlight (and lowlight) of Campbell's Lions career was his opening press conference.

  13. I wish we still had Santosa so we could let him try a 60+ yarder for fun.

  14. That’s on the play caller. Meat doesn’t really understand complex offensive concepts, otherwise he would have been an OC at some point in his career. Love the Dunning-Krueger aspect of him taking over play calling.

  15. Any discussion of Correa being injury prone is lazy. The last two seasons, he missed 2 games in 2020 and 14 in 2021. Or, put another way, he played in 93% of his team’s games during that time. I’ll take the proven All-Star with a career .849 OPS in over 70 postseason games on my team everyday.

  16. so it's both sides because one side did complain and the other "would have" and actually didn't when the coin was literally on the other side (mail in favored GOP)?

  17. I suppose but Democrats in Michigan at least made mail in voting easier before the pandemic hit. There is no both sides to this.

  18. Does Michigan jump Cincinnati? I predict the Top 12 will be... 1 - Georgia - haven't been touched yet 2 - Ohio State - Could have scored 70 yesterday. they don't have to answer for the Oregon game anymore 3 - Alabama - Have not been dominant enough 4 - Michigan - Strength of Schedule jumps them over Cincinnati 5 - Cincinnati - The committee is not letting them in if they can help it 6 - Notre Dame - Like stale cigarette smoke in your clothes, their stench lingers. 7 - Oklahoma State - The Big 12's only hope? 8 - Baylor - 2 losses probably keeps them out 9 - Oklahoma - I still feel like a little choas (Cincy loss, GA clobbers Bama and OSU destroying Michigan could somehow get them back in. 10 - Ole Miss - It's over 11 - Oregon - Deep down we knew they weren't a playoff team 12 - Michigan State - Good timing, Mel. Well-played. Was this Ryan Day's argument for a bigger contract?

  19. This was about as good a game as these kids could play, which is all you can ask. They won't be able to stay with the OSU receivers next week, but we could always get lucky with a zebra crew that calls a lot of holding on OSU.....

  20. In terms of being happy with their coaches, Bo was constantly criticized for being the heir of Woody's '3 yards and cloud of dust". He was far more lionized after he was gone than by us M fans at the time. Yes we were happy to have had a guy that turned the program around but always unhappy that he was such a stick in the mud strategically. But M always had that ability to sell a lot of seats and draw TV eyeballs which has given them a pretty nice economic advantage and they been able to use that for facilities and all so they've had a leg up on recruiting for a long time, but coach wise probably Gary Moeller might be the only coach we've ever had in my lifetime where you could say the coach brought much in the way of in game coaching or innovation in the way he brought a modern passing game to UM. Well, Rich Rod innovated but most of them didn't work well!

  21. One thing the Tigers absolutely need to improve is defense. With a lot of young starters, they don't want to screw things up with sub-par defense. So, as good as a hitter Seager is, I think they might stay away him.

  23. While I totally do always vote for the democrat even though I'm way to the left of them, I don't think it's incumbent upon voters to do that, it's a choice I make for my vote. I think the notion that voters need to suck it up and vote for the democrat on the ballot isn't a winning proposition for democrats. I guess I wonder why we don't try to save democracy with a exciting candidate

  24. Or perhaps AJ was doing Correa a solid, he had to of known being in a public place like that it would have gotten out so maybe this may make a team like the Yankees throw a Godfather offer at him to get him to not sign here. I hope that's not the case cause my heart has been set on him.

  26. Why am I not surprised that you have this opinion? I think only Michigan homers, or people that are contrarians by nature, share this opinion. Hutchinson is good but he benefits from playing on a much a better defensive line where he's not the sole focus. Teams gameplan to avoid Thibodeaux. As far as an overall player is concerned, the whole package, Thibodeaux is the best player in this draft.

  28. Election security is not voter suppresion. Nobody is being told they can't vote and polls are open longer. Its funny the democrats talk about wanting to save democracy but nothing will destroy it faster than elections with no integrity. Democrats want 100% mail in ballots, with no controls in place to know who voted or how many times they voted. They managed to get the worst two candidates to the WH elected by that system so they want to continue it. The democrats say election laws are racist because people of color don't have ID, can't afford ID or don't know how to get an ID. What's bad is democrats actually think so little of people of color.
