    You are COMPLETELY discounting the fact that in order to create the United States of America, in 1776 and shortly thereafter, that northern states and any abolitionist, Founder or otherwise, HAD to accept slavery in order to get the southern states to participate in the Union. Otherwise, no United States of America, no successful American Revolution. = FAILURE.

    The price per share is the difference maker. TSLA has a market cap of @ 935B. GM is at @ 56B and Ford at 59B. Tesla is trading at $900 a share, Ford at $15, and GM at $39. Multiply the number of outstanding shares times share price and that is where the difference is.

    Personally I don't care what a guys motivation is to be great, if it's a competitive nature and need to be the best and win then perfect but if it's only to be great so he can build his brand and make the most money than that works too as long as they work and strive to be great is what ultimately matters to me.

    i certainly wouldnt describe thomas jefferson as a christian fundamentalist. if tater thinks thomas jefferson was a fundamentalist, he ought to listen to a few cotton mather speeches. thomas jefferson was pretty radical for his day, but since he participated in the institution of slavery, we should ignore the rest of his life rather than looking at it in its totality.

    That whole thread is great. I always enjoyed Christiansburg when I was much younger. Had a few friends who worked at a station in Blacksburg back when such things were training grounds for bigger markets. There was also a pretty good Lebanese restaurant there at the time.
