Got here early the boy scored Torkelson with his girl. He was very nice and chatted a minute.

I was there today and screamed "YES!!! THANK YOU!!!" when this was flashed on the board. I had just finished a nice conversation with a Blue Jay fan about how I was still upset about this injustice.

Dan and Jim's 8th inning discussion was a great example of the difference in quality... they are speaking frankly and directly about where this team is offensively and how guys underachieving has put them out of the picture. The fact that they are talking baseball alone is a plus, but they also aren't doing the rose colored glasses thing. That's better than watching Kirk and C-Mo eat

If you stream the radio via gameday (which is pretty cheap), it will almost always be behind the broadcast enough that on many television systems you can bring the TV 'back' to the audio. It's quite irritating that the gameday app used to have it's own time delay capability which made synching to a broadcast easy. They removed it this season - almost certainly for that exact reason.

they take too many middle middle fastballs (like Cabrera just did). They are all doing it. It's crazy how many cookies this team takes. When you see a guy do that who got to 500 homers because he *always* jumped 1st pitch FBs, you know something weird is going on. They keep harping on 'staying in the strike zone' and that may be true for Javy, but the rest of them need to hit a good pitch when they get it.

Can we please have Riley Greene in CF now? Please?

I think it's entirely within ones capability to 'back the blue' and hold police accountable as well. Following in some of the comments above, I do get turned off when I see the flag with the blue line (not only desecrating the flag IMO, it makes me think of someone that will blindly back the police.) While there is certainly some issues with the police, I do think in many aspects it's getting better. In my partisan days, i'd get infuriated when cops were accused of racism for 'harassing' young black man. Growing up in an area without diversity, the complaints about getting pulled over for a made up reason, having to be respectful even if the police weren't to us, allowing them to search our cars or at least saying it's ok because saying no made us feel like we'd get written up on the imaginary '10 over' we were pulled over for, etc, to me was the cost of being young and had nothing to do with race. It took too long for me to realize that I should have been on the side of those young black man and instead of disregarding because they claimed race was the issue, look at the underlying aspect that regardless what the reason, it was wrong. I feel like most people have at least a scrutinized eye on the police now and overall that's good for our country.

He swung at 5 pitches. All but one was in the zone and the one that wasnt was close. He layed off some close pitches for balls. Especially in his last at bat. Sounds like a disciplined hitter. Gausman tried like hell to get him to chase offspeed down and away. Both the splitter and the slider. Totally different guy than we've seen all year.

So many AAAA OFs that none of them get enough run to show much. Right now Reyes and Cameron should get the nod over Castro or Haase or Hill. Grossman is going to be the tougher call if Reyes or Cameron hit consistently. You aren't benching Meadows and I think the odds are Riley's bat is not going to let them keep him at AAA very long.

Took a walk in the park today and there were a couple graduation parties going on in the pavilions. Seeing that always brings a smile to my face, not only for the kids involved and thinking about how much I enjoyed my party and going to friend's parties but the main reason is to me it just reminds me that summer has arrived!

There will be some regression, but I do think with Lange and Vest in particular, they really have found something.

On a positive note, it's crazy to look at a Tigers box score and see all 4 relievers used with ERAs at 2.50 or lower. Plus aside from them 4 we have Vest, Lange and Peralta with sub 2s and even Jimenez is at a respectable 3.10 with a sub 1 WHIP. That's 8 deep out of the bullpen! Yes some of these guys will surely regress but even if a few do that is still amazing to have that many guys having great seasons.
