  2. I am so happy for this girl. Lucy will be 13 in a month, but for most of this year she has really been noticeably slowing down. At her regular vet checkup in May she got a clean bill of help, but she was still just struggling - I attributed it to age. In June, she broke some blood vessels in her ear, scratching it because of an infection & had to have surgery. The vet prescribed an antibiotic, & after finishing it this week she is like a new dog! Jumping, playing again, & she has that bright look back in her eyes. We figure she might have had a UTI or something that went undiagnosed, & the antibiotic knocked it out.

  4. Great—looking forward to your list in a month or so when you’re able to do your due diligence. I’ll remind you. In the meantime, I’ll enjoy reading other individual’s content for debate and discussion purposes (which is why most of us come here in the first place).

  5. Santana OPS by month since May: May: 711 June: 780 July: 859 For season 686 (shows you how awful his April was). How an 18-year-old playing at A ball (where he is the youngest position player in the league) with his profile is not listed on every Tigers top 10 prospect is mystifying.

  8. Wenceel just heard my comment, because he just went back to back homers with Quincy Neiporte in the Erie game lol

  9. I think that the case for Perez is that he is only a year older than Jung, is raking at Double A, and can actually play second base.

  10. Right - he's 25, the switch either went on for real or it didn't. Might as well find out. What is a 25 yr old getting out of more time in the minors? It's not like you have a fragile young ego to protect from failure.

  11. Baseball isn't the most important thing in life so they will probably be understanding and welcome him back.

  12. Sure I am. I know from experience most of that crew is pretty clueless and actually detracts from the public discourse on Tigers prospects, and that list strays enough from the consensus without any particular reason behind it. It sucks. Prospects lists off the top of one's head without a ton of in-person scouting time or reasonable and well-filtered discussions with scouts and front office personnel are a waste of time and largely meaningless. By well-filtered, I mean being able to tell when you are being fed fluffy BS, which a lot of the current tigers twitter prospect person struggles with.

  13. I don't have nearly enough information to put one together that would be worth a damn.

  14. No bail is a democrat policy is NY. It was first signed by Cuomo before he was caught being a sexual predator. It allows many violent offenders to walk free while awaiting trial. This is getting more common among democrat's in office. Gascon is doing the same thing in LA. At least the people in San Francisco seen the light and recalled the liberal DA who was soft on crime. The guy who attacked Zelden after Kathy Hochul who is his political opponent and current NY governor told her supporters to show up Zelden's campaign stops and called him dangerous. Based on what democrats accuse Trump of doing on January 6, Hochul should be guilty too. When will the hearings and impeachment start in NY?

  17. peripherals not terrible - 1 walk, 4 Ks. Since nobody gives errors in baseball runs vs earned runs is meaningless. Looking at the play log, he gave up hits to the 1st three hitters, two were line drives. After that all the remaining hits were on ground balls. FWIW, his infield was Lopez, Westbrook and Davis.

  18. Also a AAAA guy who is better than Keuchel lol. At the end of the day, this thread exists only because of a version of Keuchel that is no longer operable.

  20. interesting to speculate. When Lou first came up, putting the ball right down the *opposite* foul line was his calling card. As he got older/stronger he got pretty good at putting it right down the pull side foul line. So the skill to either way in his repertoire, but I'm not sure how much he ever did both at the same time - which of course is harder and what you would have to be able to do against a variable shift.

  22. 😁. Yeah…. Yesterday, I ordered those things you need to open up jars…. I swear they used to be a bunch of them in this house, but I couldn’t find one the other day, my hand strength just ain’t what it used to be. Lol. It was very easy for me to get to the $25 limit to get free shipping, because I always need cat litter. 🐈‍⬛ …. And Love Grown power O’s (chocolate), because I can never remember to look for them in the store.

  23. I use them for small impulse purchases. Like today I noticed I was down to one bar of soap. I added a 12 pack to my cart. I also wanted som u shaped spikes to help secure an outdoor screen. Added that too. I have a stack of $25 credits from my employers health plan for being active so I paid $3 and they will come tomorrow. I’ve used them to buy teabags. My wife yells at me for it. But she will not get the right kind and I got a box of 500 of the English breakfast kind. She gets the shitty flavored ones. I’m home all day in the cold basement working so I go through 3 a day.

  26. Watched the episode again and everybody we root for won. But they are all hollow victories. What exactly did they win? Gustavo can't be who he really is. All those people surrounding him but he is totally alone and can only trust people that he pays (and even that's iffy). He could never get together with David. His true persona might come out or David could end up a casualty. He has to be guarded at all times. Everything in his life is a lie. Sitting on a mountain of money for what? Mike - this honorable criminal thing...............Nacho's dad set him straight, "you gangsters are all the same". In two sentences he quietly and poetically put Mike in his place. Yeah Mike, a good criminal............fuck you, you're a scumbag. We just like you because you're OUR scumbag. Oh, you're not as twisted as the Salamancas..........well, neither was the Manson Family. Mike doesn't speak Spanish but he got the message loud and clear. No victory there - just sitting at home in the dark drinking his Pabst Blue Ribbon, a sell out as a cop and now a sell out as a crook. No honor in that. Kim - Flew too close to the Sun because it was "fun". Orchestrated ruining a man's reputation and going so far as to flat-out lie to his grieving wife. That's what broke Kim. She didn't just destroy Howard, she destroyed Howard's family, friends and the law firm where her friends work, a place where she would have been a partner in 10-15 years. Destroyed the man that paid for her education because he punished her a little bit. Jimmy - The timeline jump............surrounding himself with tacky opulence to make up for his sad life as Saul Goodman. Going full Saul, with a prostitute in his rotating bed, his gold toilet, his comb-over and NutriGrain bars. Yeah, people screwed you Jimmy, you deserved better from Chuck & Howard, but you destroy everything and this pathetic existence is all that's left. Chimp with a machine gun. It was a very sad episode. And a very very interesting trailer for the next episode with Saul sounding like a carnival barker making a bad cable commercial. Theory is that audio is from the Gene timeline - a store at the mall where Gene works - he gets on the PA and causes some kind of stir as people rush to get free things - maybe trying to draw attention away from something he's going to do. I just love the way they frame thing, no idea what's really coming.

  27. The more the lack of communication continues, the more it puts the whole marital issues story in doubt. And even if the issue turns out to be marital problems, going dark on the team and ignoring attempts to check in with him for a month or more has to be considered inexcusable. Regardless that the Tigers are not paying him during this time, Rodriguez still has a professional, contractual obligation to the Tigers that he can’t just unilaterally cast aside at his choosing. Imagine having marital issues that you temporarily had to leave your job to handle, your employer checks in with you after two, three, four weeks, whatever it is, and you complete ignore them. Would you expect your employer to respectfully back off and still hold your job for you, no matter how long it took? Regardless of the situation Rodriguez is in, In the end, the Tigers have a business to run that affects thousands of other employees, as well as answers to a constituency encompassing an entire state. The team can’t simply put their plans in a holding pattern, held hostage to the whim of a single man who abandoned them suddenly and has gone into radio silence. I respect the idea that family is the most important consideration in the world, and that here in the 21st Century employers are expected to give employees some room to manage major family problems. There’s a reasonable limit to that room, though.
