  2. He congealed them. The Republicans had this dog whistle racism for years, ever since Nixon's Southern Strategy. They all did it too. Little phrases they used (My favorite is 'This is the REAL America' when they were in front of a bunch of white people). But yes, they slithered out when this asshole came along shouting it and he made it okay. Democrats don't help with the constantly being offended by everything all the time (really, comedians offend you? people making jokes?). Then on top of it you have gay people being allowed to be themselves and this makes the troglodytes even more angry (never got that one, why does it matter who someone else loves?). Democrats were so shitty at energizing their base that the Republicans had to come along and ax abortion rights to do it (Kansas was a preview). It's just over this guy, though. He's a fucking idiot. He's not worth a tenth of what he claims. He never closed a deal in his life - his entire life, he had people do it for him and he took the credit. He's not the least bit religious and he can't even fake it. He's never read the Bible. He's never read a book outside of having to do it for school - and I have my doubts there. He's cheated on every wife he's had, does not respect marriage (he's had 3), buries his first wife at his golf course for a tax dodge and you know, you KNOW he's paid for an abortion at least once..............oh wait, he's probably said he'd pay for it, but he wound up stiffing the woman. He failed at owning a Casino. You have to really be a fuck up to do that. Casinos are money-printing machines, even when they are run legit. This guy. This asshole.

  3. Too bad the league couldn't have stepped in and nixed the hiring of Patricia when his accusation came out.

  4. The other thing I love is "if they can do this to a former president, they can do this to anyone!" I keep hearing. Were there people who actually thought this couldn't happen to them before they did this to a former president? If so, what fucking world do you live in?

  5. A lot of those guys only made it to MLB because of injuries or pure ineptitude by the major league roster. In a more competent organization, those guys never make it to the majors. Many are there by necessity. So why yes, they came up and played on the Tigers, but what did they accomplish while they were on the roster, and what is their long term outlook? I prefer quality over quantity.

  8. I did not have any advanced data at the time I made that call on Stewart. My projection was based on watching five games in six days and seeing 20+ plate appearances in that span.

  11. but if you put in the context of people who have always been able to claim favored status with respect to law enforcement, i.e. white privilege and the rest, it makes more sense.

  13. It's honestly one of the dumbest lines imaginable when you think about it. If any normal person stole classified documents from the government, no shit we'd be in a lot of trouble. What makes Donald Trump so fricken special?

  15. I respect your perspective on this but I believe the issue isn’t as much about patience as it is about competence. There has been ample time and ample opportunity to turn this fiasco around and it hasn’t happened. Until major changes are made I’m not expecting a different outcome.

  19. I can't remember what the exact injury was but things seem to change after he got that injury in May or June of 2019. Like he was dominant in High A so got fast tracked to Erie then proceeded to throw a no hitter in his first start there in early May of 2019 then a few weeks after that he went down with an injury that took him out for like 6 weeks iirc and his command and splitter just hasn't been the same since.

  20. Yes, they could do it for me. They can raid my house looking for documents I illegally removed from the White House. I would welcome them. Just don't eat my Trolli sour gummy worms.........and be careful with the grey plastic shelf in the basement, I don't think it's going to hold much longer................it's bowing in the middle.

  22. Although Kiley Mcdaniel og ESPNranked is 24th there was one positive in his right up, since it's behind a paywall I'll have to paraphrase but it was something to the extent of "I liked there first two picks of Jung and Graham, and Colt Keith has rocketed his way into the top 100..." it was then followed by negative talk but the main point I was bringing up is that it sounds like Keith is in his top 100 so along with Jung, Jobe, Flores and Dingler(101 on FG ) that makes 5 different guys make atleast 1 of the national's top 101.

  23. John Wockenfuss' stance would be exorcised by Max Von Sydow and a young Jason Miller were it in youth baseball today. "THE POWER OF TOM EMANSKI COMPELLS YOU! THE POWER OF TOM EMANSKI COMPELLS YOU!" BTW, while doing research for this post I recalled that Micky Tettleton's stance and Johnny W's were pretty similar.

  25. I don't think that Trump created all of these reprehensible people. They were always there, everyone always assumed that they were 15% of the population but now you know it was 30% at a minimum. He didn't create them, he just lifted up the rock so that they could slither out. Now that they are out, out and proud that they are so stupid, they don't need him anymore. They will still be there after he is not, and they will grow in strength.

  26. I remember reading that Trump would refuse to read things, important things, so his staffers learned to make sure they put his name in documents as many times as possible so he'd read them. It would be so funny if some of those documents burned him. But those hoping for some kind of conviction. Even if it happened before the next administration, he'd get pardoned. Even Biden would pardon him. He'd have to - to avoid violence. Every Democratic politician already has a target on their back, it's gonna be worse now. The Judge that signed off on this better have extra security. Look what that fucker did to us. That stupid, lying, racist cunt. This is all because of him. The most see-through con man that ever existed. But millions fell and continue to fall for it........mostly because of the out loud racism. When is Trump's plane to Brazil or Russia? LOL. North Korea? His buddies. His kind.

  27. Don't know if anyone noticed this tiny detail when Saul looked at the laptop and saw his commercials, the reflection of the computer screen in his glasses were in color. Same thing in the first episode when Gene watched the commercials on his VCR.

  28. Think about how different this Vince Gilligan universe would be if Howard didn’t go to Jimmy and Kim’s apartment? Would Jimmy have gone full Saul? I think post Kim is when he broke hard. Evil. Would Gus and Mike ever gotten to Walt if not for Saul? on the old site I said that the Saul transformation reminded me of Anakin and Vader. Star Wars 4-6 was the story of Luke. When you put 1-3 in there with the prequels it gives 4-6 a different meaning. It’s Anakin’s story. With BCS we are seeing Jimmy was the catalyst for it all and it happened when Lalo shot Howard.

  39. I've spent the better part of the last 15-20 years scouting and analyzing prospects across baseball. One thing I've learned that fans often don't grasp....at any given time, every team in the league has a list of players that looks exactly like that; a bunch of guys with some tools/ability. Many of them will cap out in Double-A or Triple-A, some will get a cup of coffee or a bench role, and a couple will be larger contributors. Regardless of how highly you think of that list of players as a fan, I promise you that will be the distribution. The thing stronger systems have, aside from a longer list of prospects like those you listed (aka depth), is a separate ( and admittedly shorter) list of players with greater ability and greater odds of being significant contributors....guys you actually begin to plan for as part of your big league roster. The Tigers don't currently have that list, even a very short version of it, and when combined with a general lack of depth, you have a weak system.
