At the very least you can ask the panel of GOP candidates in Iowa if Putin is a war criminal. Get them on record.2 points

i dont want to break the bank for a backup qb. it would be nice to have a solid backup you could trust. as san francisco showed last year, if you have a good OC and good team structure, you can put a decent game manager at qb and be fine. that said, i'd feel a lot better about it if teddy bridgewater were the backup than nate sudfeld or some rookie. just because goff has been durable for his career doesnt mean he wont get injured. its football. i dont want one bad hit to ruin the lions best chance to win the division in a decade. heck, the way the rams are going, stafford might end up a viable backup for detroit this year...2 points

If I read one more 'anticipation' story before a charge is actually filed somewhere I think I'm going to scream.2 points

20 year old with a bad back? JFC. Hire Al and fire him again.2 points

Has nothing to do with this game but just saw this on twitter and damn is this impressive. Yeah he was shaded a bit to that side but still I'm willing to bet a good chunk of current pros wouldn't have made that play.1 point

Fans put way too much emphasis on early Spring training performance.1 point

Isn't Hooker supposed to miss most of this coming season? And while I like Richardson as a prospect he is just that a prospect and shouldn't see the field for atleast a season so I wouldn't consider him a reliable backup if he had to get thrown into duty if something were to happen to Goff. Despite Goff's durability thus far I am of the camp of wanting a better backup just in case something were to happen. I feel like we have a real solid squad and I don't want our season to be ruined if Goff were to get some freak injury that sidelined him for a month or 6 weeks. Of course there is the mentality of crossing that bridge when it comes even if it means giving up draft capital for a team's backup.1 point

Manning at 94 and bit more. Good sign that he is getting there. Felt a bit bad for him with people jumping on him for ramping up slowly when that's what he was probably advised to do.1 point

Just sign some other team's wasted 6th round pick to be a backup. Top backups don't want to come to a team where the starter is firmly entrenched, didn't miss a single snap the entire season, and has only missed 3 games due to injury over 6 years.1 point

Some shows that range from pretty good to really really good, and that have good period-type costuming and music in it, would include Peaky Blinders, The Crown, Call the Midwife, Marvelous Mrs Maisel, Mad Men, 11.22.63, Mrs America, and Godless.1 point

This seems right, but it also seems extremely selective. "He was really really bad for these 24 games, so we are going to ignore those, blame others for it, and focus on (some of) the 10 games that came after that."1 point

They don’t count Anzalone’s 2021 season against him the way fans do. They know the defense was a mess that season, and last season until the AP firing. They are projecting his contributions to the team’s play down the stretch into future performance, maintaining continuity in their defense, and still paying him at the low end of the FA range. It’s not a splashy move but is perfectly reasonable.1 point

Badgeley back with the Lions, a little disappointing cause I would have liked somebody that was more proven but I guess he has been automatic from inside the 40 so he atleast has that. Considering the Lions aggressive nature on 4th downs in the 30-50 yard line I guess they don't care as much about his percentages from there since they probably don't plan to be kicking much anyway.1 point

You shouldn't give up on Jobe. He's going to be the next Franklin Perez.1 point

I think the difference between then and now is that you can justify saying "one elite presence on this team (particularly on this defense) can take this team to the next level"... That wasn't the case last year (and it was only one spot), and it definitely wasn't the case two years ago.1 point

It wouldn't help anyone to throw a defensive captain under the bus with a report that he was their fall-back plan. The public message will be that he is their guy and that they believe in him, which is what the public message should be.1 point

paying jamaal williams what they paid david montgomery would have been a mistake. montgomery is the better back and is younger.1 point

If these conspiracy fuckers want to kill themselves by taking drugs meant for horses, then fine, I don't have a problem with it. But forcing it on kids? Because Autism? Can't cure autism, idiots. Stop treating your kids like there is something wrong with them, there isn't, this is who they are, lean to embrace who they are.1 point

Yeah, I would think that its a combination of rules changes having an effect on the running game. For all of Manfred's warts, I think he deserves credit for putting forth some good rules changes that will benefit the game. And its not just the actual rues changes themselves, but also trying out rules changes in the minors to see how they might play out during a season. So there's the practical application of the rules and seeing what works and what doesn't and what might need to be tweaked. But the younger players in MLB may have already been exposed to these rules, and so they're already in tune with how these rules work.1 point

I just binge watched Netflix’s Queen’s Gambit. I loved loved loved it. The story. The acting. The clothes!! Oooh, the clothes… and, The music!! 🎶🎶🎶 Also finished Ozark-great. Last Kingdom- LOVED that, and Valhalla also. Caught up on”You”….. I like it/don’t love it, but still wanted to watch it. My sister has told me that, for a laugh, I need to check out Animal Control. oh, and I watched the new Luther movie…& while I thought the series was quite good, I thought the movie was not. Disappointed. Any other recommendations?1 point

There are definitely many variables to be considered, but I would expect more stolen bases this year with the larger bases and pickoff rule change. 64% seems like a lot, but it would be pretty cool if it happens. I think there needs to be more action in the game.1 point

Incredibly, because we live in a particularly incredible world right now, this will make Putin even more popular and even a martyr, to the red hat right and their enabler media.0 points
