  9. Showing off my new hobby. I posted in the Lions forum some "statues" I make of Lions and I wanted to show off my Tigers too.

  10. The further up the ranks they go, the less I would be okay with misdemeanor/probation/fines type of bargaining. The pawns can get a slap on the wrist and shame, but for Meadows, Guliani and Drumpf I want felony pleas or convictions, even if it’s deemed too dangerous to send an ex-president to jail. They deserve it though.

  12. I'd be surprised if there is any vacating of wins involved in the ultimate punishment and I'd be shocked if there is a postseason ban. Michigan won't look clean coming away from this and there will be a lot of pearl clutching in East Lansing and Columbus, but even if the worst case scenario comes to fruition (Harbaugh had knowledge and was using these signals), I think a show-cause of Stallions, a two-game suspension for Harbaugh to start 2024 (which would include the Texas game), and a hefty fine is about the most that will ultimately come of it... Assuming the school cooperates with the investigation and doesn't lie to investigators this time around. The NCAA - at least historically - cares far more about paying athletes and eligibility than they do about so-called competitive advantages. Notwithstanding the Penn State Jerry Sandusky scandal, I can't think of an extremely punitive outcome to an NCAA investigation (like vacating wins and postseason bans) for something other than boosters, paying athletes, and/or the use of ineligible players. And the Penn State victories were eventually reinstated. Even comparing this to SpyGate, Belichick was fined $500,000 and the Patriots lost a first-round draft pick for what - at least on the surface - seems to be far more involved than this. There was no talk of them losing wins or vacating their 2007 perfect season. That proposition would have been laughed at. Of course, it is Harbaugh and the NCAA doesn't exactly send him Christmas cards.

  14. The Dems can send any signals they want... It means nothing until the Republicans FIRST state: "Let's talk." Nothing happens until then. The only choice the Dems have, at this point, is to vote 100% Jeffries. They get nothing anyways... so just wait to see if the Republicans will eventually talk to them (0% chance. At this point in time. Republicans already stated "We don't talk with the Dems until we hit rock bottom"). Have they hit rock bottom yet?

  15. AL Wild card home teams were 2-2. AL division series home teams were 2-5. AL championship series home teams were ....0-7? Texas might want to look into being the road team for the entire World Series. For the playoffs they're undefeated on the road (8-0) and blemished at home (1-3) if I an looking at this correctly.

  24. There was a report before their game against the Bears that Jimmy G would be back against the Lions, but McDaniels today said publicly that Garoppolo's status for Monday is "unclear". I don't think it matters all that much, neither Garoppolo, nor Hoyer, nor Aidan O'Connell are exactly world beaters. Though Hoyer hasn't won a game since week four of 2016 and has still managed to make nearly $24 million over the course of six contracts since that win, so I kind of respect that. And yes, that 2016 win was over the Lions, because of course it was.

  25. i took the pistons over. sweating that bet. i'll stick to my guns and say 30 wins. cade averages 20-6-6 but the 3 point woes persist. ivey busts out on offense, still cant defend anyone, and is a major trade candidate because he and cade get in each other's way on offense. ausar stuffs the stat sheet and has some highlight plays, but cant shoot. 65% from the line and 22% from 3. sasser doesnt see much time because the backcourt is crowded. killian settles into the second team and plays well, but not enough to get his option picked up. bogey doesnt get traded but harris does (for a couple seconds). wiseman still sucks and is out of the league in two years. weaver enters next season on the hot seat. ivey is seen as a major trade candidate but sticks around as we try to recreate jalen brown/jason tatum. we deal our pick on draft night in a move for a....wait for it...big man who can spread the floor. next season is playoffs or bust.

  27. Mobley will never be a lead guy on a team. It's the biggest reason why I didn't want the Pistons to draft him who desperately needed a lead guy. Mobley is a great guy to have when you already have a #1 but he'll never be the alpha #1 on a team.
