I am aware… but….While true, her answer tells me that she should not be entrusted with upholding our democracy. With her answer to that question - She failed. Period.2 points

People need to chill on Ausar, a rookie in an impossible situation to succeed. Look at his confidence the first 10 or so games of the season compared to now, night and day. A good coach would figure out a way to incorporate him into the rotation despite the shooting issues but this coach is too interested in "sending messages" than actually letting these young players work through difficulties so now we get a kid with wrecked confidence. That method of breaking them down before building them back up works for some but most young players need the confidence of their coach to have confidence in their own game and Monty has effectively lost the confidence of just about every young player on this roster. There's a bundle of talent and Basketball IQ to work with Ausar so I hope this coach or the next one doesn't waste it.2 points

The thing that is notable is that the Civil War did fundamentally change the political compact that created the US. The is nothing that happened prior to 1792 that would suggest that the Union couldn't dissolve as peaceably as it had formed. That 'decision' only came in 1861 when Lincoln and the north decided they would not tolerate an independent slave nation on the southern border. It was only that decision - to prosecute the war rather than let the South secede, that turned the US into the unitary state it is today and established the absolute primacy of the Federal government. So in a way, the Civil War was fought over state's rights, but not in the way it's framed in the South. The more accurate reading is that it was the exact intention of *north* to establish that states did not have the right to defy the federal government or leave the union. The South was fighting for Slavery, the North was fighting to establish the ultimate authority of the federal government over any state's right as the vehicle to end slavery, i.e. against State's rights.2 points

As a Democrat who has donated to Democratic candidates and only voted for a Republican once in my entire life (in New Mexico in 1996 because the Democratic candidate was a bad candidate and the Republican was pretty Center - at the time), I am getting really pissed off that I have never been invited to drink the blood of sacrificed children. I just turned 59 years old a few days ago and I am tired and I need that to feel young again. Look, I'm not switching parties or anything extreme, but I have never EVER been invited to their blood-drinking ritual and I want to know why ! Plus, I got COVID and was not invited to fake my death to live out the rest of my life on the secret giant luxury island that trillionaire George Soros owns, you know the one........the REAL reason that planes don't fly over the south Pacific, so nobody can see it.......yeah, that one.2 points

Whoa whoa whoa. Monte just realized the Celtics are on about a 30-6 run. You get these lapses in attention when you overload your coaching staff with community work.2 points

Trade everyone now while their value is high. Don’t even come out for the second half. Just trade everyone.2 points

I think they'll just keep delaying/appealing/whatever until the election. And the Democrats will be fine with that as long as they stay in power which is their primary goal. That being said, I think he should have been in prison a long time ago and America should never have allowed itself to get ourselves in a position where we are debating his legitimacy. If he were not born into wealth, he probably would have spent his life going in and out of prisons and mental institutions.1 point

The first time I heard it wasn't all about slavery was from a very left wing political science professor. I think he was just too cynical to think that anything in politics wasn't about politics. I was taking a liberal arts elective to boost my GPA 😀, but it surprisingly turned out to be a valuable class. The final project involved following three newspapers (one liberal, one moderate and one conservative) and comparing the way they followed the issues. This was the first time I became aware of how newspapers covered issues completely differently. I got an A in the class despite supporting Reagan.1 point

They should of course sign Chapman. He would almost certainly have the highest WAR on the team in 2024. A genuine two way player. Front load a 5 year deal with the goal to get him to opt out after 2 or 3 years.1 point

you need to donate more money to get the blood of the innocents. Outer party only get blood of the mid-level government officials.1 point
