Not that I don’t agree with all you listed there (because I do), but there’s a somewhat glaring omission to your list. Women. Women’s well-being, health, equity rights, etc. We will take a tremendous body blow, almost literally. I am sure you have women family members that you love and would want all good things for, so, please also be a loud and strident advocate for them, too. I will , on behalf of my sisters everywhere, thank you.4 points

It’s one game. Skubal is going to strike out most of those donkeys anyway.3 points

A rotation of Skubal, Jobe, Flaherty, Olsen could be great, with Mize/Montero/Manning and others for #5.3 points

Match-up to watch: Shohei Ohtani is 0-for-3 with a strikeout against Skubal.2 points

Jesus, talk about throwing spaghetti against a wall to see what sticks. ”there is a concern” - without an actual, verifiable accusation - this is just such a passive/aggressive insult, and frankly, another page out of the “how to spread disinformation/lies while trying to sound reasonable or informed… when you’re obviously not either”. Do I sound annoyed. Oh, yeah. I am.2 points

Agreed, Flaherty if healthy should bring back a top 100 prospect+ some.2 points

Vilade has over 2,500 innings as a professional OF. But you keep being you.1 point

Not to mention that being a white male doesn't necessarily mean there won't be any consequences for you-I suspect, based on what I've learned so far about Project 2025, that many will be shocked at how they will be impacted.1 point

LOL umichvoter blocked me. I mentioned I had enough of his doom anecdotes. It's a shame because he was the only one other than myself who said MI-10 was winnable.1 point

This is the best hope - that a lot of people hearing the 'Biden is too old' drumbeat but haven't actually looked for themselves, begin to pay attention and see what we all can see - and old guy with a perfectly functional mind, and decide that's still a damn site better than anything they get with Trump. It also means that if Biden has the stamina to stay his course, then by voting time the issue will have been fully litigated, old news, off the table.1 point

this. a point has to come where you are building for yourself and not everybody else. You win with players, not prospects.1 point

Yes, and an organization that's super deep in prospects is simply going to have to pay more than an organization with average depth would.1 point

Chafin is way down the list and Skubal is a courtesy mention at #50 of 50. Chafin could sweeten a deal that Flaherty headlines. Remember that Greg Pappas guy who popped in here and said he’d offer that underwhelming Mayo+ package for Skubal? Mayo+ might be what it takes for them to get Flaherty, assuming they want to win a ring this year versus continuing to count the unhatched chickens while dreaming about the late 2020’s.1 point

This race is basically tied. Dems should be circling the wagons around Biden. Something nefarious is happening.1 point

I really do wear all white, especially white jeans. If I wore a turban, I would look like a cult leader. I’ve drawn the line there and that’s a line I will not pass over.1 point

I think Joe Biden can beat Trump. I think Kamala Harris can beat Trump. I don’t think a fractured party without any clear identity or leader can beat Trump. I don’t really care who the candidate is. But make up your mind like yesterday and unite ffs.1 point

When Steve Simmons gets in on it you know Yzerman-bashing has jumped the shark. It's probably a good sign. https://torontosun.com/sports/where-did-steve-yzermans-golden-touch-go-in-detroit1 point

What’s interesting, is if we can get a few bats going and get closer to .500 by the ASG, you could hold on to your assets, call up Jobe, which could be an imposing top 4 with Skubal, Flaherty and Olsen. We could even be buyers, flipping someone like Jung, for a big league bat. Wild Card? In full transparency, I’m drinking at O’Hare, so don’t judge too harshly 🍺1 point

It’s not as if Kelly is an offensive force. He’s adequate at best and a 2 year deal that goes sour, with the type of money he’d command, would not be crushing to any team’s payroll if you had to cut bait.1 point

They could just play Rogers more and get equal value. No need for a 50/50 split.1 point
