I wanted to share an anecdotal story from door knocking this morning. I knocked on a door and the lady who answered is probably early to mid-40s. She let me know right away that she is Puerto Rican-American. She also let me know that her and her daughter are voting for Harris because of what was said at the MSG rally about Puerto Rico by Trump's people. It seems to be breaking through.

I'm a big fan of the Packers center.

Unfortunately, people have either forgotten, or never knew about rivers catching fire, air quality alerts, and generally how dirty many of our cities were, and how important it is to keep the regulations to maintain our cleaner, healthier, environment. Even now it's unacceptable that we keep hearing about lead contaminated water in places-and yet it could get even worse.

I'd be more for Bregman if he was the last piece of the puzzle to put us over the top in October. But we have a bunch of other holes to plug, so I think I'd be surprised if we went all in on him.

When was the last time you seen that in an NFL game? How many of the times since then have you seen a late hit/helmet to helmet hit? The latter happen all the time yet you almost NEVER see something like that.

As a 14 year old, I didn't really care who won, but I thought Carter had a fake smile. As it turned out, he was probably more real than any President in my lifetime.

I used to love everything about elections-from watching the debates to watching the conventions, right up to watching the returns come in on Election Day. This was true even when the results were different from what I had hoped. Now I think I'll have to stay offline for the next few days, except for some things I absolutely have to do online. '76 was the first election I was allowed to stay up and watch-I was 9. I vaguely wanted Carter to win but felt like Ford was also fine.

I hope a Harris admin can figure a way to get Musk out of SpaceX.

I've seen similar pictures of young women in Afghanistan. They should be a warning. But... denial is not just a river. And yes, that is exactly what MAGA wants.

It's not just that, many of them remember a time when they couldn't get a credit card or mortgage without a man to cosign. I believe other bank accounts were off limits to them also. I'm seeing that this is the 50th anniversary of women being able to obtain these things.

I understand. I sometimes wonder why I still have faith. My bf is from Guatemala. A good chunk of my coworkers for the past 20 years have been from Latin America, Haiti-oh let's be honest from most of the world. I've seen how much they all contribute not only to the workplace, but to their adopted country. How people can just hate them is something I'll never understand.

What happened at Cobo was the most disgraceful thing to happen jn the city since the riots. A bunch of white people demanding they stop counting the votes of black Detroiters. My wife and I lost a friend over that. He was down there and we both flat out told him we are done with him. The police should have tear gassed those people out on to Jefferson and and March them up Woodward to Highland Park or up Gratiot a few miles. Then as Marcellus Wallace said…. They can get mideivel on them. I’m half joking.

I've been watching reruns of Emergency, which I remember loving as a little kid. And I'm happy to say that seasons 1-6 were ones I still liked. After season 6, there were 3 2 hour movies and a retrospective. FETV is in the middle of showing these movies. The second and third movie have been....underwhelming. One of the best parts of the series was that the focus was mostly on the rescues, with very little family drama. This is what inspired a lot of people at the time to become paramedics. Movies 2 and 3, on the other hand, have a full hour of soap opera type buildup before showing the rescues. In other words-boring.

Incorrect. Monetization of debt starts with spending. Spending starts in congress. The Fed couldn't monetize debt unless debt is issued (government bonds of some type). Wall Street benefits no matter what as they are the exchange that handles the transactions (bond auctions) and get the money first. All these inept assholes that's inhabited congress for the last X amount of years are at fault, including the two dip****s we have today.

I think we already have an oligarchy, but this arrangement would certainly make it easier for them.
