No, this is a misnomer. Planned Parenthood. Have a read. https://lozierinstitute.org/fact-sheet-planned-parenthoods-2021-22-annual-report/2 points

Since Arizona is playing Minnesota, I hope the Lions don't clinch a playoff spot.2 points

Nope, you enjoy it! Indiana abortion rights are fine by me. Notice no limit to life of mother risk. My daughter is one of the Midwest right for life chapter leaders. She will be in DC for the March for life again this year in January just like she has for the past 5 years. Very proud of her and her convictions.2 points

It's not really giving away a possession though, if you get the odd one in the first half you give it back in the 2nd. The better question is whether you have a better chance to score on the 1st drive when neither side has seen what the other is doing, or at the beginning of the 2nd half, after you have made adjustments to what the other side is doing. Maybe that's what it comes down to the most - if you think you are smarter than the other guy, defer. If you are up against a guy you fear is better at adjusting than you may be, take the ball before he's seen you play.2 points

This is why I think it’s stupid to put a star as a punt returner.2 points

I absolutely loved that last minute and a half where Thompson and Stewart were leading them on defense. That was some exciting basketball. They both got a layup on the other end too.2 points

I hope JVL is right and there is a part of me that thinks that is the most likely scenario on those issues, but, Trump had legitimate people expressing their concerns continually on why what he wanted originally wouldn't work. Did Trump change his tune because of them or because it was always part of the plan. With nothing but cheerleading yes men around him now, I guess we'll soon find out.1 point

Susan Wiles is thinking she's going to go up against the Russian side of Trump world on behalf of Elon? Or is all this just garble from the farrago that is that place?1 point

even with Christians.... which one? There isn't just a Bible. There's a catholic bible that contains books not in a "protestant" Bible. And Protestants can't figure out which translation is best either.1 point

Bregman's approach is what Harris says he wants; so if you are spending big money ($175M+) you should get what you want and not settle for a really good player who Ks too much.1 point

The latest from JVL. Interesting prediction. BTW, just remember who didn't get payment from Mexico for the half built wall, And who got an agreement from Canada to pay for the Gordie Howe International Bridge https://www.thebulwark.com/p/a-new-approach-to-covering-trump?utm_campaign=email-post&r=45wcm&utm_source=substack&utm_medium=email1 point

LOL Oklahoma Gov. Sitt: "We need more prayer in public meetings." Amy Hardy-McAdams, a pagan priestess: "Okay!" Gov. Sitt: "NOT LIKE THAT, SATAN." Always remember: When the (religious) right says "religion" they mean THEIR religion, because other religions "aren't real" and creations of the devil. https://bsky.app/profile/stevekenson.bsky.social/post/3lbumi4kfoc2p1 point

Unfortunately writers gotta write, talk show guys need topics to opine on. It's the way of the world. When nothing is happening without speculation you get a lot of blank pages and more audio/video similar to "enjoy this moment of Zen" on YouTube TV. It would be 70s elevator music on the radio.1 point

In other words you are fine with a million more abortions, plus an unknown number of mothers who died under the "right to life's" new draconian rulings. Sounds very MAGA to me.1 point

Available International bonus money will play zero role in singing Sasaki. He could sign with anyone for $200-$300M if he waited 2 more years in Japan. This isn’t about the money. It’s about wanting to play right now in MLB. I expect he will make more in endorsements the next two years than he will from his MLB contract. He’s going where he sees the best fit for him.1 point

That's very admirable by Jerry there. I fully support this action and praise Jones for his great logic and leadership. Now, how do we get Jerry together with Virginia McCaskey so that he can share this wonderful ownership decision making with her?1 point

Well, Cade Cunningham is sort of a big missing piece for the Pistons. The Raptors had their best player on the court. Regardless, Ivey REALLY loves Jesus Christ and REALLY wants us all to know it so that's the most important thing.1 point

John Steinbeck said this about that in the 1930's: "Except for the field organizers of strikes, who were pretty tough monkeys and devoted, most of the so-called Communists I met were middle-class, middle-aged people playing a game of dreams. I remember a woman in easy circumstances saying to another even more affluent: 'After the revolution even we will have more, won't we, dear?' Then there was another lover of proletarians who used to raise hell with Sunday picknickers on her property. "I guess the trouble was that we didn't have any self-admitted proletarians. Everyone was a temporarily embarrassed capitalist. Maybe the Communists so closely questioned by the investigation committees were a danger to America, but the ones I knew — at least they claimed to be Communists — couldn't have disrupted a Sunday-school picnic. Besides they were too busy fighting among themselves." The quote has since been distilled to this: "Socialism never took root in America because the poor see themselves not as an exploited proletariat but as temporarily embarrassed millionaires."1 point

I think a big part of it is that they provide value in other facets of the game, Meadows especially, and are still younger. Less likely to let a DH try to work through hitting like a -3 WAR play against LHP. Also he was 26 this year, hard to imagine him developing into a guy who can be a plus hitter against LHP at this point.1 point

Thompson hits the corner 3. Next time down gets Duren a lob. He looks rusty obviously, but nice to see him back.1 point

It should of happened last year. Like Betrayer said a few days ago. Put Thompson at the dunker spot and let Stewart play outside on offense.1 point

And another time last night, Philly stopped LA on 3rd down inside the 5 and seemed to initially decline the offensive holding penalty. Then when LA lined up to go for it on 4th down, Philly ended up accepting the penalty (broadcast explanation was that perhaps Siriani never actually declined the penalty and it may have just been the refs assuming he would decline it- still, seemed like a too-long 30-second lag).1 point

Every season Pistons fans have to have something to overvalue. Ron Hollands defense seems to be the pick this year.1 point
-
Way too early to say what he is. I think Holland is a better defender already than Josh ever was but, yeah, you could see some similarities you just have to hope that Holland grows his game unlike Jackson who never did. On another note, is Ausar playing? With the defense crumbling as of late they sure could use him in the lineup.1 point

Crypto as a payment method or replacement for the dollar is a pointless conversation. The second the government thinks it's a threat they will kill it. The ability to print and manipulate money is one of the biggest powers government has. They are never giving up that power.1 point

I really don't understand the point of that article, but it doesn't matter. Coming from someone who has spent the last 5 1/2 years teaching for a state college, and being whored out to a vocational setting (STEM class) which I eventually refused to enter, I can tell you this; our educational system, at least where I am, and I don't really think that matters, is a massive cluster **** of ineptitude.1 point
