  1. I love to watch games played in the elements… from the comfort of my climate-controlled home.

  2. As for Bregman Boras is probably using us as a prop but the fact is I keep checking the internet too damn much to see if we got him not even knowing if I want him 🤣😆

  3. Prime was due. The Lions and Packers gave them their best game in history, a return to the mean requires an even worse TNF game than normal.

  4. because cade is the only player on this team worth paying. the rest are bit players. what this team needs is another #1 pick in a generational draft. without it, they will be what you see today for the forseeable future. ivey is a nice player, but not a max player. duren hasnt developed beyond andre 2.0. holland and ausar are role players at best. they must, must, MUST tank to get a top player in this draft or else this is what they will be forever: a max 6 seed at best with cade ending his piston career getting traded for second rounders when he's 32 so he can go "chase a ring."

  9. He looked every bit like Stat Padford last night. The gunslinger whose wild with the football in his hands, making bad throws with it.

  10. Selfishly I care a lot about the in-person experience. I know I would never have Lions season tickets if it was an outdoor stadium. My interest in being comfortable outweighs my interest in seeing them in-person. But I really love seeing them in-person. It just sounds miserable to have eight or nine home games, and for two you’re sweating your butt off, two you’re getting wet, and two you’re freezing your butt off. There’s also the competitive piece to it, Buffalo will never host a Super Bowl. Though I’d love to see them host a Draft.

  11. I will say enjoy him while he's here, but one thing I noticed after this season is the surprising lack of manager firings after 2024.

  12. If you had told me on draft night 3 years ago that Ivey would be scoring 17 ppg and shooting almost 37% from three in game 25 of season 3, I would have jumped for joy. Those are solid numbers for a third year player. Jaylen Brown was something like 13 ppg and 33% his third year. If he continues to develop he has a nice shot at being a 20-22 PPG player that shoots 38%-40% from three next year. That is a $30M a year guy all day. Especially since we already know the cap will rise by 10% each year for the next 3-4 years due to the new TV contract. By year 2 and 3 of a $30M a year deal he will be making less than 15% of the cap. Even if things go totally wrong, that contract doesn't hurt you at all. Plus, on the chance he does hit the numbers are projected, you just saved $15M a year because at those numbers he gets a lot more expensive than $30M a year. So whats an Ivey trade look like? He wont bring back a lottery pick, at least not for the next two years. The drafts are too good and people will demand lottery protection the picks. So a trade wont bring help until a few years from now at best. Not real Ivey wont bring back a star in a trade. Even packaged with other Pistons, there isn't enough to put together a trade for a star. So a trade seems like a lateral move at best. The time to trade everyone was this past summer. That includes at least listening to Cade trade offers. I said this summer that being bad enough not to make the playoffs but good enough not to secure the 5th pick is the worst possible position to be in. Here we are. Bad odds at obtaining a top pick. No cap space. Players with some trade value, but not likely to bring back anything special. Coming up on two decades of it now.

  14. https://www.mlb.com/tigers/news/alex-cobb-excited-to-join-detroit-tigers Interesting interview with Cobb. Tigers are making a name for themselves on the field, in the clubhouse and in the front office.

  17. Dude played 'em and got his money (probably a big signing bonus). This league takes advantage of these guys and their health all the time, but when a player does it back there is so much outrage. Can't believe he's still on the team as of 9:30am EST today. I wouldn't like it if I was a Niners fan. And if I was a player I wouldn't want to play along side that guy while I am risking my neck, but as far as he goes - he got paid and now it's time to go live the rest of his life, because I am pretty sure nobody is going to ever sign him again after this. I would say The Raiders might because they are The Raiders, but Tom Brady wouldn't allow that now. I remember when Todd Marinovich was a rookie and the QB for the Raiders went down and the coach looked over at him and he shook his head No and they put in the other backup. I think the closest we probably had to this was when Titus Young purposely started running the WR1 routes because he didn't want to be QB3 anymore. He was released after that. I know other Lions players wanted to wreck him. But he had pretty severe mental illness.

  19. I Loved watching Aurelio play. Just like you said he would just load up, wait and unload his cannon. What an impact him and Eddie Brinkman were on the left side of the diamond defensively. That McLain trade got us a great season in 1972 with them , Hondo and the aging stars from 1968. Maybe the best year of all with Billy Martin giving the Umpires hell. What fun.

  20. And the Rams-Seahawks play each other the final week. So if the Seahawks beat Green Bay this weekend, the Niners are eliminated from the division. The Niners lose the tiebreaker to GB on head to head. So the only playoff spot left to them would be Washington. If the Commanders beat the Saints this weekend to get to 9-5, the Niners are all but mathematically eliminated.

  26. I just received the email from YouTube TV raising the price another $10 a month. It's now up to $82.99 a month for the base package and that does not include FanDuel or whatever the local sports thing is that's another $20 for that app. I think it's probably time to look at bundling our TV with our internet provider and going back to cable. Xfinity at least carries FanDuel.

  27. LOL, I take the subway just about every day. I will admit I've seen a lot of rats, even one that came straight up to me. On the whole, it's just like Sue said about the NY subway system: be aware of your surroundings, know where you're going (or at least look like you do), and keep your valuables safe if you have to have them. There's a reason I don't carry a purse, but keep my wallet in an inside pocket. There are a lot of the same people who ride the same trains every day, so I've made some good commuting friends over the years, too.

  29. When the No Name (That's How I'm Feeling) single came out, our station and WDET were the only one that played it around here. WRIF and Alt 98.7 didn't touch it that first week. That first week it was not on Spotify, it was not on You Tube and not available to buy -- the only place you could hear it was on the radio and they totally blew it. We banged it and made a big deal about it. And the thing that is so ironic is that they both ended up putting it in rotation. Because neither station is programmed in Detroit by someone who knows Detroit. Both of those stations suck and don't pay attention. Couldn't make an exception. Couldn't break that playlist sent by corporate. It's garbage.

  30. Our radio station broadcasted outside in the cold last Tuesday - Saturday in front of Kroger in Ann Arbor to raise money for Food Gatherers in Washtenaw. The effort raised the equivalent of 1.076 million meals (and counting). Passed our goal of 1 million. And it was really really cold this year, and it was worth the effort.

  31. How much more can they continue to increase before people get fed up? $25 beers and $10 hot dogs along with $50 get in tickets just doesn’t seem sustainable especially over an 81 game home schedule. From a competition standpoint, we are quickly moving into an English Premier League model where 6 teams fight for the title and the other 14 are just fodder.

  33. My mortgage service company are complete hounds.... I have from the 1st to the 17th to pay it each month and I just do it around when a certain pay period hits. I called them last week because I needed a copy of somethiand and instead of helping me they're like "DO YOU WANT TO PAY IT NOW!!!????". Told them I was doing something at the moment so please just help me with what I need right now...." Every time I log on their site they want me to refinance or take cash out, etc. MY RATE IS 2.5% dip****s. Why the **** would I refinance? Before I do pay it each month they call at least twice. I got a message yestrerday from a "debt collector" complete with the disclaimer. That's the words they used. Didn't identify who they were. I searched the phone number, because I pay all my bills and anybody acting as a debt collector is a scammer, and it was my mortage servicer.
