That’s not true. Most media are left wing and some are very far left. CBS, ABC and NBC prove it daily. Look at the debates where the moderators were fact checking one side but not the other. ABC just settled out of court for false accusations on Trump. Then you have NBC which is home to Kristen Walker and F Chuck Todd -two of the most biased reporters around siding for the democrats all the time. Some of the cable outlets have realized they have to pay the light bill and are trying to cover Trump more fairly and objectively but are still a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Trump and his administration are a breath of fresh air after four years of complete disaster from the worst administration ever. Government needs to fundamentally change for the safety and prosperity of the American people. Most of you here are puppets to a political party so you are hoping Trump fails. If he fails so does the country. He might be our last chance to fix things.6 points

USA Today ranks MLB farm systems. And they have the Tigers #1. It's USA Today......but still It's nice to see https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/mlb/2024/12/20/2024-mlb-farm-system-rankings/77076639007/2 points

It takes quite an EFFORT to come down to Detroit from Traverse City with my wife and 10 year old for a handful of games each season. Gas, lodging, food, tickets, souvenir's. I am seeing zero EFFORT by Scott Harris and the Tigers to improve our team. For this reason, we plan on staying closer to home and seeing our Traverse City Pit Spitters or a couple games with the West Michigan White Caps where we can come right home after the game.1 point

Glasgow was questionable too. Mahogany may make his starting debut.1 point

I was picking up my daughter at the airport yesterday and a traveller noticed my Lions hoodie and started beaming. She was visiting Vancouver from Ann Arbor and said her husband has the exact same hoodie, how exciting it is to be a Lions fans these days, etc. It was a nice exchange that put smiles on the faces of both of us. Meeting fellow Lions fans in Vancouver is still rare enough that when you do, there's an immediate connection. And at my sports bar, people love to come up and chat about the Lions, as one said to me the Lions are such a great story they think it's neat to talk to a real-life, actual long-time fan as up until a couple of years ago we all tended to be in the closet, lol1 point

i always had a soft spot for buffalo, but not anymore now that theyre in the east. but of all their picks, losing eichel was a killer. power doesnt seem to be earth shattering. dahlin turned out pretty well but they messed up his contract situation so badly he now makes more than almost every other top defenseman!1 point

Would not be a bad move for the Tigers. They should sign him and let him hit. Lorenzen would probably hit better than 3 or 4 of the guys who batted for the Tigers last year.1 point

I want to see more of Vaki. He and Montgomery have the same size, ran the same 40, and both are elite tackle breakers. Vaki seems like the future Montgomery.1 point

The ownership/front office would be my concern. I think Williams' problems are a product of the inept coaching there more than anything else. Obviously there is the concern that they "broke" him, but it's only one season. But if I was Ben I'd be much more worried about the front office and ownership.1 point

Yeah but it’s not 1995 anymore. You are describing how things were and ought to be but that’s not reality today. There is no left wing media anymore. MSNBC is dead ratings wise. The others are folding to DJT. This will get framed as the party with the most no votes shutting it down. There are different rules for democrats and republicans. It has been that way for 10 years now.1 point

Trump wants to end daylight savings time. That dumb **** can't even get a simple thing like that right. https://www.foxnews.com/health/trumps-daylight-saving-time-plan-sleep-what-must-know1 point

He's terrible for public health, Hegseth is a virulent racist drunk, Tulsi Gabbard has a CI file a yard thick. I think of all that which is terrible and the worst for the country, the Kash Patel to FBI pick is the screwiest one. He's threatening to abuse his power before he even sets foot in the office.1 point

This is interesting and sounds like something Harris/Hinch would consider: CAA, the agency representing right-hander Michael Lorenzen, has been marketing him as a two-way player in conversations with teams this winter. The idea isn’t necessarily for Lorenzen to see much time at the plate, it’s to potentially circumvent the limit of 13 pitchers that each MLB team is allowed to carry on their roster. If Lorenzen appears in 20 games in the outfield or as a designated hitter (and gets at least three plate appearances in each), he would gain two-way status for the 2025 season and the following year, giving the team that signs him extra roster flexibility. It’s a small wrinkle, sure, but one that could be intriguing to teams that are interested in the additional roster maneuverability. 1h ago Source: Ken Rosenthal1 point

Agree—can understand wanting to avoid the commute, but don’t base it on the offseason. We still have a foundation of a playoff team that was largely populated by rookies, who should only get better. And it’s not like the rest of the AL has improved much (yet). Most of the free agents and trade targets are still out there.1 point

Ryan might be decent at QB, he was a huge liability at Corner in Remember the Titans.1 point

I used to love going to games and I live in Dearborn, the stadium is 15 minutes away from me. But I understand. It's so darn expensive now. My workplace has tickets and they will offer them up sometimes in an email. I can't go to weekday games (day or night) because of my work schedule. If there's a chance weekend tickets are offered, I'll jump, but that's rare. The games look great on my TV and if it's a stinker I can go get stuff done around the house, but realizing that going to a game is a hassle makes me feel like an old man. I turn 60 a week from today, so I guess I am.1 point
