I do think Holmes drafted for need this draft in a way we hadn't seen in past drafts. Not to say that he had blinders on as to who his best players were, or that he was going to allow himself to be pigeon-holed into taking any particular position, but I think he was more conscious this year about the role that players would take, both immediately and in the near-future. For instance, in 2021 and 2022 for sure, and even the last two years to an extent, I think he relied much more on his Big Board, without respect for position. If the Board landed on doubling up on DTs with Levi and Alim, so be it. If the Board landed on taking a RB, LB, and TE with the first three picks, that's fine. If we double up on CBs with Arnold and Rakestraw, okay. He just wanted talent. The absolute best players out there. I think he came in knowing the positions he was targeting early this year, with more of a laser focus on checking those boxes... DE, DT, WR, OG... Did he check all of those boxes? No, we left without a high-quality edge rusher, because again, he wasn't going to be forced into making a pick he didn't love. But he checked most of those boxes while still finding players he loved. I just don't think he was about to take two DBs again, or a RB and TE. It's still BPA, but it's a little more focused than in year's past.

This is an egregious error that directly impacts the game and the series. David Guthrie and his crew should not be allowed to officiate the playoffs after their assignments are done this round. I’ve been wrapping up my taxes this weekend in advance of Canada’s April 30 filing deadline. Writing a fat check to the CRA sure doesn’t give me nice thoughts about Ottawa, that’s for sure.

I'm really excited about the two OG they drafted. I feel like a lot of their offensive success is based around their line and having guys who are athletic enough to execute multiple blocks + exotic schemes (mostly Sewell). With their interior line getting older and older it has been a worry of mine losing some of that.

Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday are the three prime slots for the NBA. They gave GSW one of them this weekend and OKC two. So that isn't it. Most likely an attempt to get an old team more rest. Golden State has played 3 games and had 4 days off.

At one time, “goddamn” and “Hell” were one-two on the cussing Hit Parade, basically when my parents were kids and before that. When I was a kid, one-two was the f-word and the scat-word. These days, I would guess one-two are the n-bomb and the c-word, and nowadays, when people refer to the f-word, they frequently mean something else. As for what you wrote, as true as it is on its face, stripping out the knowledge of who wrote it, it does read like it does give him a pass for the lies he tells or outlandish things he promises, as though they are inconsequential and/or he doesn’t really know what he’s even saying, and mean nothing. Read it in someone else’s voice and you might get a feel for what I mean.
