  1. There's a 10+ SO/9 & 4+ SO/BB ratio on his minor league resume. That's got to be the attraction. The MLB line is less than 9 innings of work.
  2. He did have a pretty good season in Toledo. I suppose it could be argued that he suffered a bit of bad BABIP luck in Detroit. Maybe I'm being too harsh. I thought he was nearing 30 years old already, but he won't be 27 until Memorial Day. Maybe there's still something there. Looking over some of his batted ball stuff, he is below MLB average on pulling the ball and really beat the ball into the dirt last season. I don't know.
  3. I honestly can't believe Nevin last this long on the 40. Heck, he probably can't believe it himself.
  4. Back when I was a kid, you had to be attentive to radio and/or TV every 10 minutes to listen for school closings/delays due to weather. You had to actually put effort into seeing if you were lucky to be snowed out. And if you missed the alphabetically organized listing, you had another 10 minutes of agony, waiting and hooping and praying that Mother Nature did sufficient damage to the local roadways. Nowadays, the school will call you and text you and email you, and damn near turn off your alarm clock for you, in order to notify you of such luck. Horsebleep.
  5. Livers was a DNP. Somebody figured something out.
  6. Obviously the Baseball Prospectus list is a better list.
  7. Just going off of memory, but I don't think the Pistons have won back-to-back games since 2006.
  8. So, if we subject ourselves to the Pistons, can we get the Tigers at a discount?
  9. So, does that check have to be taken into the actual lobby of the bank, or can someone just take it through the drive thru and shoot it into the tube? Man, I used to think those things were slick as heck when I was a kid.
  10. The devil will be in the details.
  11. ... to sign me.
  12. He put up a game like he wants to be the next Piston to be traded.
  13. So Gores should do Pistons fans a favor and make a change.
  14. I think he deserves some credit, too. 24/7/7 at age 39? Sure, training and nutrition are better now than in the past. But he’s putting in the work, too.
  15. For how long? And exactly how good is junior? Will he be forced into more minutes than he should be by senior? Nah, pass. Can’t deny his place in basketball history or what he’s accomplished in his career. But the juice won’t be worth the squeeze at this point.
  16. Let’s just wait and see how Williams handles the rotations, especially once Cunningham is back. By then, Gallinaro and Muscala will have had some time in with the team. What, who am I kidding? Ain’t like rotations mean anything with this roster unless they are playing the Washington Generals.
  17. The more I think about, the more I believe that Weaver is playing chess with marbles.
  18. I see where you're going with PG, but Hayes would jump over Sasser once the next losing streak gets to 20 games.
  19. Yes. Let's not say he's a floor spacer until he vastly improves upon that clanky .313 3PT% he's hoisting up so far this season. That % would be 9th best on Detroit. But its better than Livers' .286, so hey, let's party.
  20. More likely conversation?
  21. I guess the upside is that the rule about not trading away all 1st picks saved the Pistons a bit here.
  22. So the Bagley extension costs them two 2nds.
  23. Oh noes, they traded Livers?!?!
  24. I forgot he was a part of the back and forth Detroit-Houston shuttle.
