  1. There's 32 NFL starting kicking spots for the 8 billion people on this planet and this is the best we can find? There's GOT to be somebody better out there than this.
  2. Wow just got in and turned on the game, what the hell happened with the defense? Well other than they suck of course. I'm guessing they haven't gotten any bit of pressure on Smith all game.
  3. Even though it's a 1 and a trillion chance there is still that chance that he finishes in the top 5 to make the options vest that's why there is a buyout. If you just bought him out with his salary then he would be forgoing that chance of him possibly making an extra 32 million guaranteed in 2024 if that miracle season were to happen, that's the whole reason he put that buyout clause in there to begin with.
  4. Sparty loses 27-13 to Maryland to now fall to 2-3 on the season with Ohio State on the schedule next week. Yikes.
  5. So today Anibal Sanchez, Drew Smyly and Max Scherzer all started games, tomorrow Robbie Ray is starting and I believe JV is as well. Just crazy to think 5 of our pitchers from our glory years almost 10 years ago are still pitching in the majors when you consider the attrition rate of starting pitchers.
  6. Now Chark has been ruled out as well. Unbelievable.
  7. Couldn't ask for a better opening drive, O-Line looked great!
  8. Not necessarily disagreeing but I genuinely wonder how much he is at this point. Yeah he definitely was chasing the milestones but at this point how many people buy tickets just to see him or tune in just to watch him? Legit question cause I have no idea.
  9. With the Mariners clinching the playoffs last night we are now tied with the Angels for longest playoff drought in the AL, if the Phillies hold on and make the playoffs this year we will then be tied for all of baseball.
  10. I know very little about how the international market works but I remember hearing that one of the things that hurt the Tigers the past several years was that Venezuela where they were strong in had a bit of a dry spell when it comes to premium guys but looking at MLB.com top international guys for 2023 and 2 out of the five are from Venezuela including the top guy. For those that know more about these things namely Edman and Mark do the Tigers still have a strong presence in Venezeula and if not there are there any guys that they may be in on this year?
  11. I originally thought the loss of Grant would be a net positive cause it "seemed" like they played worse with him in the lineup but over the summer I looked at our best lineups and from what I saw most featured him.
  12. I saw on Twitter that Colts RB Jonathan Taylor missed his first practice yesterday since his sophomore of high school. Considering he played 4 years in the Big 10, this is now his 3rd year in the NFL and how rbs are notorious for getting beat up that is just a mind blowing and impressive tidbit.
  13. Kevin Pelton of ESPN's system has us at a league worst 25.7 wins. I personally think we will be around 30 but 25 is certainly a possibility. I don't see us finishing dead last though, there will be some team(likely okc) that will completely tank and only win like 15 or so games.
  14. For CFB it's hard for me to bet anything but money lines. Too often you see either back door covers or teams emptying the benches early.
  15. The long parlay is a sucker bet but it's fun to play just for the dream of the big pay day. Kinda like playing the lottery, yeah that 1 is going to be a waste but the dream of the off chance you win makes it worth it.
  16. These are the games that it hurts the most to have guys miss cause the margin for error on winning is already small to begin with and it's a game that you expect to win. If guys are going to miss Id rather it be the game that you only had a 30% chance of winning anyway and essentially had marked as a loss to start the season.
  17. I will say Miggy did look like he slimmed down I believe last year but unless he can somehow get a new knee it really won't matter how good of shape he is in even if he truly does get in the "best shape of his life".
  18. Yeah short of a major off the field issue or possibly a series of monument bonehead moves like taking the wind in overtime I don't see anyway he gets fired this year regardless of his record.
  19. The Cubs did a full tear down and tank job when he was there but the Giants never did despite finishing neck and neck with us for worst record back in 2017. I remember actually being surprised that they made some win now moves in the following years which went against the grain of how most other orgs were operating but it paid off for them last year. It sounds like he is more apt to take the Giants mindset with us vs. the Cubs.
  20. I was shocked to see that it was pulled to one of the deeper parts of the field, Id imagine it was either a bp fastball or hanging offspeed pitch but still it was different to see him put a ball out there.
  21. Lol well he didnt say anything about Sosa and he surpassed that number multiple times.
  22. It's only fitting that we end the season with an injury to one of our more important players for next year.
  23. Damn only missing Sewell, Goff and for now Okudah.
  24. Yeah not singling out MCS but too many people whether on here, twitter or the radio point out all the calls that didn't work to question Campbell's coaching but ignore the ones he make that end up putting them in the position to win to begin with. Our offfense wouldn't have scored as many points as it has if he wasn't as aggressive as he has been on 4th down.
