    It's a chance. But its risk reward. I mean he could wait but really how much mroe is he gonna get guarenteed? Better just to take your $200 million and call it a day instead of risking injury/poor preformance for an extra $20 million.

    Unless he hates it here. He's made a $100 million in the bank its not like he's hurting. I could see him opting out cause he hates it, take a one year prove it deal and then hope to make it up in 2024.

    They started em last year after the NBA model. The thing is just named to highlight some different type of uniforms. Again, part to appeal to the younger gens. We saw one this year when the Astros wore their "space city" uniforms.

    you can't have too much cap space. This gives you five more and jettisons a maybe 4th corner for a pick instead of hoping he defies all logic an gets better in year 4 and getting nothing.

    Agreed. But I also get the frustration that a seemingly good trade when it happen gave us absolutely nothing and you have to wonder who knew what and when
