Am I remembering correctly, did Charlie Kirk call for the Epstein files to be released a few months ago? Wish there was a way for me to give two thanks on this. Quote

No fear of that. This SCOTUS would happily reverse even Miranda to make sure the death of one of their stars is avenged. Edited September 12 by gehringer_2 Quote
Sports_Freak Posted September 12 Posted September 12 Maybe some patriot should bail out Kirk's killer? Quote

Can you point out any examples of this? There’s a clear difference in being happy someone is dead, and thinking someone doesn’t need to be lionized for their decisive, harmful rhetoric. 1 2 Quote

You mean to tell me that Donald Trump, Nancy Mace, and a bunch of Republicans irresponsibly rushed to make a judgement on this? Of course they did.... for as much as they complain about "identity politics", nobody is more obsessed with it than they are. Quote

Tiger337 Posted September 12 Posted September 12 Did anyone see the shocking quote in this story? https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/suspect-charlie-kirk-shooting-tyler-robinson-rcna230504 Quote Trump repeatedly warned throughout the interview that his information was preliminary, saying he is "always subject to be corrected." That might be the only honest self assessment he has ever made. Quote

Some serious doge dip****tery and asshattery on full display from this crop of onion pouches I don’t think it’s as much dip****tery and asshattery as it is a bid for narrative control about the shooter. The trans person I happen to know the best does more selfless good work out in the larger community than Charlie Kirk probably ever dreamed of doing in his life. He has(had) no right or standing at all to impugn that person's existence or their value. The one trans person I know best is a selfish jerk who’s unpleasant to be around. But even so, so what? She has a right to be as unpleasant as anyone else does. Everyone should be allowed to actualize their true selves on their own terms. Quote

This reminds me of a recent conversation that I was having with an African American buddy who was discussing something with my Mexican accountant, which is interesting as you don’t think of them as being accountants, which is even funnier as my black friend is a pilot and you really don’t think of them as that. Rapper or athlete sure, but definitely not pilot. I joke with him all the time that if I didn’t know him, there’s no way I’d ever fly on his plane. We all get a big chuckle at that one. As I was saying…shoot, I forgot my point. 2 Quote

CMRivdogs Posted September 12 Posted September 12 (edited) I could take this all the way back to the Kennedy assignations and a lot of school shootings. It seems to be a common thread Edited September 12 by CMRivdogs Quote

Also that black women had less brain power, and similar awful thoughts. * I guess I need to put a disclaimer that this does not mean I’m happy he’s dead. Quote
