mtutiger
Mentioned in the other thread, but today is the day the Astros get their rings... one imagines they will be fired up
theroundsquare
Perhaps they'll feel complacent. Or the rings will weigh down their hands and make their swings slower. Call me an armchair body language expert, but I thought everything about Wingenter said "nervous" last night. He didn't seem that way on Monday. Maybe being out there for the ninth felt different to him? I guess we probably won't see him today anyway as he's pitched two consecutive days. Cabrera makes a lot of sense, the general consensus is that he'd average a game a week, and he had his game last night. Baez has been scuffling so an off day makes sense. As for Schoop, sooner or later he's gonna be gone. The real question is whether they pull the trigger when Tyler Nevin is ready to come up or whether it happens afterward. Wayne Halpert
Six games into the season, and I can’t take any more of CMO. I switched to the Houston feed …… much better.
Dtrain72
It's cool that our #1 "ace" pitcher would be a #3 - 4 on most MLB teams Edited April 5 by Dtrain72
kdog
Harris and Hinch have a lot of faith in McKinstry. I guess they don't have other options.
kdog
That run is a result of improved baserunning. No hard contact from either McKinstry or Maton.

Every team is going to see improved base running this year.
mtutiger
First time getting a long stretch with Bobby Scales.... he's fantastic, and hope he gets the job full time whenever Jimmie P retires.

Not a huge amount of MLB experience so far... part-time reliever but really a starter = 45 starts out of 80 games and 310 inn's so far, early in his career. From the Dominican... Allows 5.8 hits per 9. K's 11.15 per 9. WHIP of 1.05. Harris... you better be able to find guys like this. Isn't this what you meant by "controlling the strike zone"? I want one. Or two, or three... Like I said earlier...ERod is a #3-4 rotation guy. Hopefully Harris is good at his job, along with hopefully one of, if not both, Mize/Skuval becoming a #1 and/or even 2 guy in the rotation.
