casimir Posted April 26, 2023 Author Posted April 26, 2023 McKinstry is leading off. I mean, come on, let's just get this over with as quickly as possible. Grab the sweep, the beer, the cheese curds, the bratwursts, and head back to Detroit. This series will go down in history as where Milwaukee lost its 2023 playoff bid. Quote
RandyMarsh Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 Not a hint of irony here I love seeing McKinstrey, Maton, Carpenter, Vierling and Baddoo all in the lineup on the same day. We may still get shutout or something but I rather see them than Cabrera, Schoop Haase etc. 2 Quote

I was in Chicago a few years back when the Brewers swept the Tigers to close out the season (2019, I think?) and keep the Cubs out of the playoffs. There was a lot of bitching about the Tigers in Wrigleyville that weekend. I kept saying to people, WTF did you expect Quote
Dave Christian Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 Miggy looks good wearing a Green Bay Packers cheese head😂 Quote

The other four really don't. Quote
Crazy Cat Gentleman Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 I see Riley's trying the "different facial hair" approach to improving his performance. Quote
Crazy Cat Gentleman Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 well, this isn't good. Javy HBP (hand) and coming out. Quote
chasfh Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 Greetings from beautiful Milwaukee, Wisconsin. 2 Quote
chasfh Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 Although it’s not so beautiful that Javy, who just now got hot, will be out for a couple of months with a broken hand. Quote
theroundsquare Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 If that proves true, whoever was hoping for Javy to opt out, forget about whatever chance there may have been Quote
kdog Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 Milwaukee is due for a good day offensively...I have low expectations today. Quote
kdog Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 Lorenzen might need to take a beating to save the bullpen a bit. Quote
gehringer_2 Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 (edited) Lorenzen had Tellez set up for hard up and in and then threw him soft up and away - go figure. Edited April 26, 2023 by gehringer_2 Quote
gehringer_2 Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 (edited) Pitch 6" wide of the plate called strike one on Tork to put him a hole starting that AB. Edited April 26, 2023 by gehringer_2 Quote
casimir Posted April 26, 2023 Author Posted April 26, 2023 OK, they're going with the come from behind victory on the way out of town approach today. I see you, Tigers, I see you. Quote
gehringer_2 Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 a not a terrible AB from Schoop but not good enough either. Quote
chasfh Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 The dissipation of Michale Lorenzen’s career continues apace. Quote

kdog Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 I maintain that taking a risk on Lorenzen was a better bet than Boyd. But I'm probably wrong. Quote
Tigermojo Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 They have shin guards and elbow guards, they need hand protection for baseball players now. Quote
