Would Toronto accept this offer for Guerrero and Bichette?

Okay........with Sweeney, Tork and Jung we are contenders already and Clark & McGonigle are two of the biggest prospects in baseball.

Guerrero and Bichette aren't helping Toronto contend.   They are in last place - and Guerrero is expensive too.

This is insane.

I’d do this trade if the Leafs would throw in Austen Matthews

I'd do this trade if the Raptors would use their time machine to include peak Vince Carter for the Pistons.  I would be willing for the Pistons to use the time machine to include peak William Bedford heading back to Toronto.  I might personally use the time machine to grab a Miller Genuine Draft, just for fun.

Oh hell yeah, I make that deal as the Blue Jays GM. Guerrero and Bichette are both free agents after next year, and Bichette flat out sucks my ass. So as Toronto GM, I make that deal all day every day and twice on Sunday.

Thanks for weighing in, Al. Good first post. Nice to see you're in good spirits after your unceremonious ****canning.

Seems like if you guys were the Toronto general manager you would make the trade.  I like the idea of adding two right-handed bats to the lineup.  Meadows, Greene, Guerrero, Carpenter, Keith, Bichette, 3b Vierling, DH Perez/Malloy, Dingler/Rogers.  Farm still has Jobe, Rainer, Liranzo, Lee, Briceno, Hall, among others.  So the farm would still be in good shape, and the lineup in Detroit just got a lot better.  I'm not as sold as some of you that the players the Tigers give up are going to have a big impact as major leaguers, assuming they all make the bigs.

If I were Toronto's GM, I'd take it and run.

If I were Detroit's GM, I'd hang up and block the phone number.

You gotta give to get.  A fair trade has a little bit of pain on both sides.

Agreed I just don't think those 2 are the the type of players Id give for. Love Vladdy, one of the best hitters in the game but he provides no value elsewhere and is about to be a FA.

If I knew that this was just an outlying year for Bichette than he would be a nice addition but as is he really isn't that much of an upgrade over Sweeney, especially considering their respective salaries the next 5+years.

My favorite part might be that the trade proposal included Jace Jung after his amazing slide and the iconic photo that resulted from it.

Just think about what that slide would look like after the exchange rate were applied, eh?
