IIRC, when Madden was picked the buzz was that he was quite advanced and would move through the system fast. So far, so good.

Fastball up to 98 but with iffy at best command, hit a couple with it and almost hit a 3rd, didn't get many whiffs on it either, on the other hand had quite a few awkward swings on the offspeed stuff and really only a few hard hit balls the whole night.

there was clip there of Wilmer Flores as well. Talk about your drop and drive style pitcher.

Kody seems to be playing well, and might need to be bumped up to Detroit.

I don’t see a fit for him.  He doesn’t play SS, so he won’t replace Harold, who they seem to be OK plugging in there when necessary.  Perhaps if Schoop were ever to go on the IL, but otherwise I don’t see the opportunity.

Lets be real here: Harold doesn't play SS either.

Agree, but the Tigers seem to think he’s an option there.  In reality, with a guy like Baez, perhaps it isn’t necessary cause he’s playing every day.  If he has an injury, you can always dip into Toledo.

Pacheco is heating up at Lakeland....there's a lot of power potential on that team.  Perhaps more than any team in the system in recent memory

Saw that, too.  I was a bit nervous about him based on last year—concerned we had another Nick Quintana, but he looks much better so far.  Colt Keith has looked good in West Michigan, too.  Would be great if at least one of them pans out.
