chasfh Posted July 21 Author Posted July 21 I missed this the first time around, but this is pretty cool. Quote

I thought the league office had precision time stamps on the replay cameras so they could have done this same analysis just looking at the timestamps. I guess maybe not.... the helmet as rotational clock was good thinking though. Edited July 21 by gehringer_2 Quote

Edman85 Posted July 21 Posted July 21 Close call is a bit better for things like this, grounded in the rules and umpire manual. https://youtu.be/sbVmX1K8ZMY?si=EbCytto5oOPjfFE0 Quote

gehringer_2 Posted July 22 Posted July 22 Javy played at SS for Lakeland tonight for two AB. Hard hit single up the middle in this 1st AB, went to 2nd on a WP then scored on a double, popped out in his 2nd AB Quote
IdahoBert Posted July 22 Posted July 22 The Valencia story was good while it lasted. I don’t know if his inability to stop steals was a bad game, or if it means his defensive abilities as a catcher are lacking. But I hope he finds a place in MLB with somebody if it turns out not to be us. Quote
casimir Posted July 22 Posted July 22 The Tiger OF as a whole has contributed a -4.3 bWAR season to date. Good for dead last in MLB. Greene, Malgeri, and Meadows are the only OFs with positive WARs. Quote
monkeytargets39 Posted July 27 Posted July 27 I wonder if they try Jobe as an opener for Framber for a few starts when he first comes back. Framber has struggled in the first innings so maybe they give him a couple times through the rotation with an opener to see if that’s a mechanical thing or a preparation thing. Let’s Jobe get some consistent innings rather than stick him in the bullpen exclusively 1 Quote

I like Vierling with his versatility but his career ops is .687 and ops+ is 91, and both of those would be much lower without 2024. Outman's highest ops+ at any stop since 2023 has been 52. Highest! papalawrence Posted July 28 Posted July 28 I see Kelenic is DFA again. Rather than bring up Clark I can see Harris letting Outman go and giving Kelenic another chance at sticking. It's time to see what Max can do Quote

Put Javy at SS, Clark in CF and McGonigle at 3rd base. RF? I have no idea. Let Hinch play a few different guys out there to keep him happy. The problem is that I believe Harris wants Clark in Toledo for however long it takes for him to retain his rookie status. Sometime in mid-August. Possible draft picks are mire important to him than winning is? Quote

I think the first one might be Tork—I had posted an RISP table and he was up near 1.000. Is the second one McGonigle? That would be the likely flip side surprise, although maybe not because of the strikeout totals … maybe Riley, then? Quote
