Fister was one of those guys I'd hoped could stick for a while, but he just sort of fell off a cliff at 30.

Seventeen WAR in four years and not a single All-Star appearance. Talk about unappreciated.

I want the good Framber this game.

I wonder whether Framber will do better now that he is securely the Big Dog? We'll see ...

So, asked Claude to find me all the pitchers in the post-expansion era who had 16 or better RA9-WAR across four straight seasons without an All-Star Game during that stretch. There were 22, and here's the list:

The bench clearing situation over the beanings last night appear to be a recipe for Framber to do something bad.  Hopefully they have him doing serenity prayers or whatever to keep him cool.

Couple of old Royals pitchers on there that used to torment the Tigers.   Poor Earl Wilson, #3 on the Tigers with McClain and Lolich ahead of him - made it hard to get award traction.

Man as a kid I just loved Earl Wilson. His stories about suffering segregation in Florida during spring training, not being able to use bathrooms or get food, and how coming to Detroit was such an epiphany for him. One of my favorite players.

Yeah, tough to go on too much about all that without it getting political but...racism is weird.

Watching the Mets pound Cleveland. The Guardians aren't playing very well. I don't know where their defense is ranked but they're making a lot of mistakes. On the bases and on defense. They look....like a 4th place team.

August 6th. Too early to scoreboard watch? Too bad. 😁😁   The Tigers could tie Baltimore and also go a half game up on Seattle with a win. We're gonna win the Central, aren't we?
