Any massive crash will be temporary and allow those who run the rigged game and sold high to reset the market so they can buy low again.2 points

I'll stick by what I said. However, even you mention Burisma and corruption. Yes that was the company that employed Joe's boy and overpaid him for job he wasn't qualified for. Now if you want to talk about the Chinese, how about we start with all Biden connections. Biden, his family and many people in his administration have ties to China.2 points

This is awesome! Candace Parker calls out the TNT crew for not showing or mentioning Cade once in the highlight package despite his game. I get it the Pistons lost and Denver has the reigning MVP so they're going to get the bulk of the highlight but Cade is the current number 1 pick, you think he'd get some publicity by a basketball show when he has a great game.1 point

I won't forget that Trump tried to strong arm the President of Ukraine for his own political ends. He was impeached over it. Gutless punks in the GOP Senate wouldn't remove him but the facts are plain.1 point

LOL- I just came across this quote today by total random chance: "The schools have no more important task than to teach rigorous thinking, cautious judgment, and consistent inference; therefore they should leave alone whatever is not suitable for these operations: religion, for example." Don't forget Biden has a personal financial interest in Ukraine. Joe will do whats best for him and his boy. If Biden shuts down the pipelines in the US why would he support a pipeline in another country?1 point

The Lions lost 3 games on last second FGs, tied one game, lost the Cleveland game by 3, and had a chance to win the Atlanta game before throwing an INT in the endzone. I was also surprised to find that there were 5 teams with a worse point differential than the Lions including the 7 win Falcons. They have 3 picks in the top 34 and better luck with injuries and they should be improved. Talks about winning the division though are more an indictment on how poor the division looks vs the Lions be substantially better.1 point

I think its probably more just alate in the cycle hire. Any decent candidate has been snatched up by this time. So its go with someone you don't know at all or at least the one you know. We'll call it the why people eat at olive garden effect.1 point

its not an issue to me. its just partisan politics, imo. biden made it a point in his campaigning to add more minority justices to the bench and he has done that in a very big way. trump had a list of "federalist society approved" justices when he was elected and the democrats went after them for it. yadda yadda yadda, rinse repeat.1 point

i remember how they cut away from regular programming to show sosa and mcgwire at bats. baseball hasnt had that kind of juice (ha!) in years. the only other time i remember was when ripken broke gehrig's record, but espn ruined it by having chris berman there crying. anyway, sosa/mcgwire was a big deal and did a lot for baseball.1 point

Don't follow. You think just because the sects are all Christian they can't/wouldn't violently oppose one another? Isn't the RCC 'Christian' (and how much blood spilled between?) weren't the Hugenot's Christians? Aren't the Shii and Sunni both Muslims? Internecine warfare in religious history doesn't require differences more severe than whether you genuflect from right to left or left to right. The Episcopalians are filthy Royalists, every Presbyterian sees heresy in John Wesley, they all see heresy in the Adventists, and the Anabaptists are right out. The only safe course for the children of all was ever that no-one teaches religion in the public school. The first amendment wasn't some kind of forward thinking intellectual exercise, it was an immediately pressing political need.1 point

I disagree...They are just another leaching country that wants a handout from the US. If we can't protect our own borders we have no business going to another country to help them with theirs. The biggest threat to the US is Iran. That is where our real foreign problem is. As soon as they have an opportunity to attack us or get a nuclear weapon we will have a big problem. There was a report a few weeks ago they are already planning something with operatives in the US.1 point

I respect and get buddha's position on Ukraine, having said that I really struggle with the fact that it really sucks for the majority of Ukrainians who may want some self determination in who they align with or what alliances they are allowed to form. The reality is that, despite all the talk about "Russia's sphere of influence", the sizable majority of Ukrainians do not want to be aligned with Russia and want closer ties with the EU. And ultimately, what we are learning is what Ukrainians want really doesn't matter. Maybe that's an unresolvable problem, but it still sucks regardless.1 point

It won't happen. At the very least I hope the Republicans would come up with false accusations and treat the nominee the way the dems treated the Trump nominees. I doubt they would thought. They can do some low things but they wouldn't stoop as low as the democrats. What ever they do they need to make it very tough on them.1 point

If Baseball started allowing players to lay down money on games in which they have a duty to perform, there's a good chance I would just stop following the game at that point. The one and only thing that keeps me interested in sports is the idea that everyone involved is trying their best to win, and I couldn't assume that anymore if those with a duty to perform in a game were laying money on games.1 point
