I'm actually hoping the Rangers get to the point where they use position players, I want to see if we can actually do anything against them.2 points

The Riley Greene effect will not allow that to happen. Two weeks from now the Twins will be looking over their shoulders.1 point

I think it would be really cool, and at the same time a statement of sorts, if the Tigers adopted the uniforms they’re wearing today as their ‘City Connect’ uniforms.1 point

I'm just glad the Tigers arent making the opposing team's worst pitcher look like Cy for once.1 point

When you trot Eric Haase out there as your clean-up hitter, it’s time to foreclose on that mortgage.1 point

He does appear to be seeing the ball again. Now he just has to hit it more often.1 point

I dont have a strong feeling against DFAing both, but Grossman is at least trying hard. When I saw Harold Castro fail to chase a catchable foul ball last night, I became alarmed. I realize that hes an externally laid back guy, but at this point, hes essentially our most productive player by far, on a team thats mightily struggling, and he dogged a play. The way that some guys are approaching at bats and plays makes me truly wonder if they all need a serious kick in the ass. For example, I always objected and still object to them getting rid of Carlos Pena before 2006, because I liked him, and he was a good player....and of course, he did have some ***really*** good seasons after that with the Rays. However, getting rid of Carlos was part of what allowed Leyland to shape the team's attitude and personality into a winner, ehile he and DD also brought better players to bear. I dont want to see them get rid of a young and good player like Carlos was, but I do think that *somebody* in mangement needs to instill a sense of urgency.1 point

I'm calling for a HUGE outburst of runs for the Tigers today to celebrate Riley Day at C Park..... Tigers lose after scoring an amazing 3 runs....10-3. The wheels have fallen off the pitching staff cart.1 point

The difference to me is that Grossman is playing hard and making some defensive plays. Schoop is just flat-out dogging **every** at-bat, not extending at-bats or fighting for pitches, hes jogging on every run-out, and I cannot remember thr last time he made a plus defensive play. I liked the Schoop contract well enough at the time, but he is currently a terrible and counterproductive fit for this club.1 point

If I'm named GM today, I............. Send Torkelson Down (i haven't given up, but he needs to fix something) Send Clemens Down (clearly, he's not ready) Send Haase down (are they keeping him because he's a local guy?) DFA Grossman (not part of the future, no need to clog a spot) DFA Schoop (looks like he's sleep walking) Re-activate Daz Cameron (might as well see what we've got and if he can improve) Activate Candelario (maybe he gets hot, maybe someone wants him in a trade) Call up Westbrook (hitting .329 since May 19th) Call up Garneau (better than Haase Call up Kerry Carpenter (is he ready? probably not, but he can't be worse, they need some power from somewhere) I'm trying anything I can to shake up this team. Maybe this sparks something, anything. I don't really care, I am making big moves to see if this team has any life in them at all. This team is so damaged right now that there aren't very many things I wouldn't try. Everyday lineup 1b - Harold Castro 2b - Willi Castro ss - Javy Baez 3b - Jeimer Candelario c - Tucker Barnhart rf - Victor Reyes cf - Riley Greene lf - Kerry Carpetner dh - Miguel Cabrera Bench - Westbrook, Garneau, Cameron Batting order..........I have no idea. Baez no higher than 7th, if he doesn't like it, earn it.1 point

I feel like the other teams are pitching to the Tigers like they are Brandon Inge.1 point

Never thought I'd say this, but I am now 100% out on Hinch as skipper...this is beyond untennable. Last night's "zero fucks to give" by AJ while Soto was clearly not functional was the first straw for me, now, by the way it sounda like these guys look today, yep, team has checked out, he lost em, and thus he also has to be done here.1 point

Okudah excites me because he’s virtually no risk and potentially enormous reward. He’s a product of the prior regime, and if he’s unable to come back from the Achilles, well, we are building up from last year anyway. If there is any chance of him still becoming a starting to elite caliber NFL CB (as many scouts - not just Quintricia - believed), I fully believe this regime can do so. And he could instantly turn the defensive backs group into a strength on this team.1 point

Okudah may be considered a bust now, but if he stays healthy this year I think he'll surprise some people. It's a different scheme than when he was a rookie & will not require of him what Patricia did. Add to that what we expect will be an improved pass rush & he may surprise some people.1 point
