  6. Background. In Texas they passed a law that mandated In God We Trust signs placed prominently in schools if they were donated. They had to have the flags like this and only that test. So this guy is doing it in Arabic.

  19. French Fries from the air fryer..............Overshoot the cooking time by about 3 minutes. I know I shouldn't be eating french fries but I made a massive amount of orange pao stir fry Monday........so that was dinner Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.........had to break it up, there is still one more meal's worth. I know, boring, but also easy.

  20. Yeah it definitely seems like it's one of those cases where WAR doesn't tell the whole story of the impact they actually had on the field but regardless Javy's suckiness doesn't mean the Correa signing would've been good either. Also there is no guarantee that Correa puts up the same season here hitting with all the chumps in our lineup and the incompetent hitting coach we have as he has with a contending Minnesota team.

  21. Javy's been worth 1.2 WAR while making 22 million meanwhile Correa has been worth 2.2 WAR but at 35 million. Not a major difference in dollar to WAR.

  27. Man, the White House account is putting all the Republicans who had PPP loans forgiven on blast.
    1 point
  28. The point that there are differences between the PPP and this latest action is completely fair and shouldn't be ignored. I know PPP wasn't a true loan program and was more designed as a grant. And overall, the PPP was necessary, even if there was fraud. Having said that, we also need to acknowledge that many of the politicians who are decrying this action as being a "handout" did, in fact, take handouts of their own with PPP and do when they take farm subsidies checks as well. And countless other programs. And while PPP did help a lot of businesses who needed it, let's not pretend that everyone who participated needed it either. How is it not hypocritical for them to protest this particular action?

  29. Tonight, I’m having a throwback to my growing up Friday night supper was when I was a kid. They were of course, meatless suppers, back in the day. So the sauce my mom would make is a marinara sauce with fresh zucchini in it. That over a bowl of linguine or penne With a little grated cheese on top, was heaven. Just because I like spicy, I add some red pepper flakes, fresh basil to. I also had so many fresh little cherry tomatoes, that I added about 2 cups of that also. Very simple supper but the best. EVOO, garlic, tomatoes, zucchini, basil.

  34. true, but you could say MI is the only state where the crazies tried to kidnap the Gov. The level of extremism is certainly a marker, but not the only one. Another example would be Oregon/WA. Those states in general go blue today, but there is a real lunatic fringe up in the mountains that is probably a lot worse than the MI militia was in it's heyday, but you couldn't judge the average level of radicalism of the rest of the state by it.

  36. See, the people that want to mock "Build Back Better" (only because it's Biden's phrase) don't seem to understand that if you don't, destruction. illness or even death will eventually happen. Public Works aren't sexy, they're boring as hell, not like a shiny new building or stadium, but they make our lives better and provide a hell of a lot of jobs. I don't think anyone truly has any idea how many bridges we're driving on are just one mistake, or one missed inspection or one "we'll fix it later" away from collapsing. I think if we realized it, it would scare the hell out of us.
