It will be interesting to see how many of those guys continue to move around next year now that they are more established. Anyway, they are all good players, so I don't think fans would complain if they were in Detroit. I think the complaint about the Tigers is that their multi-position guys are not good players. Maton and McKinstry playing all over the place is not being done because it's a smart new baseball move. They play all over the place, because they don't have anything better and they making the most of what they have. I am pretty sure Harris and Hinch would love to have allstars playing at 2B and 3B every day rather than positional flexibility.2 points

I still can’t move off the fact that Mel Is a giant idiot. There is no job in America where it’s acceptable for a leader to get into a sexual relationship with the person they hired to teach sexual harassment training. That’s a dead stop for me. Even if it was fully consensual, he’s got to know better. Leaders lose their jobs all the time for consensual relationships with subordinates or vendors. Dumb.1 point

I was kind of being flippant, but I'd like to see him make his mark. Don't make a trade just to make a trade, but do something creative. Show me you're the genius everyone says you are. I want to see that Steve Kemp for Chet Lemon moment!1 point

Jobe starting in the regular season finale for the Seawolves on Sunday. Don't know how the AA playoffs work but Erie is in them so he may pitch there as well. Either way I wouldn't be shocked if he pitched in AFL this year since he hasn't thrown that many innings.1 point

No no... Armenia is PISSED that Russia refused to help them when Azerbaijan made incursions into Armenia, particularly last year around Sept... It seems that Russia was.... ummm... preoccupied? Azerbaijan currently is occupying a part of Armenia itself. The last CSTO (Russia's "NATO" pale shadow) military get together in January, 2023, which was supposed to be in Armenia: Armenia said "no way, not in our country." They're fed up with Russia and have been for at least a couple years+ or so...1 point

But if he kicked the FG instead of going for it, the Bills would have had time to win the game instead of just tying it. Of course Allen could have botched it like he did all night but they moved the ball into FG position with relative ease and only got stopped by the clock. With another minute and a half to play with, they could have very well won the game on that drive.1 point

This is the opposite of a media meltdown, but.... Ronan Farrow is a great reporter and a national treasure.1 point

Hold up, what? The obvious goal was to get the first and then bleed all the time possible off the clock before kicking the field goal, or if things go good, scoring a TD. Of course they are going to be conservative when they have Wilson at QB. If they start throwing the ball, that only allows the Bills to save a timeout or two. What we saw last night is exactly what almost every other coach would have done in that situation.1 point

kwahi - the king of load management and stealing money - will start the game, play 2 minutes, then go the bench for the rest of the game. paul george will do the same. or they'll alternate halves.1 point

Well, I followed that up with a couple of stinkers. 8/9 last two days. I thought for sure mark Langston had a 200+ strikeout year for the Expos, but no. I really try hard not to go with " obvious " answers in that situation like Pedro Martinez, but sometimes it bites me. While my consant pouring over baseball cards, the sporting news and baseball digest in the late 70s and early 80s has served me very well, I do have to question why all that information is still in hy head 40 years later. If I had to fill out the grids using players from 2000+ I would probably get one or two a day.1 point

good for the nba. people pay to watch good players play basketball, not your bull**** load management.1 point

mel tucker discovers the honey pot. msu will pay her a few million tax free dollars and she can retire. mel gets his settlement (and his wife gets half of that). and the lawyers take 40%. as god intended.1 point

this is the best thing that could have happened to msu football. they get rid of their $80 million albatross. if it costs them $40 million, its a bargain for them. the flip side is that the same brain trust thst brought you mel tucker has to make the next decision. their delusional fan base thinks theyre getting deion sanders. in all likelihood, they'll hire whatever coach beat michigan sometime in the past two seasons. is tcu's coach available? is tcu's waterboy around?1 point

Yeah - the appearance of things has already begun to shift somewhat. Tucker is probably done at MSU regardless, but today (as compared to yesterday) I think the odds for him walking away with a lot more of his money have improved - so MSU as an institution will be screwed again.1 point

He even had multiple last names. To almost everyone he was Robin Yount. To George Kell he was Robin Yunt.1 point

Couldn't you say that about the Lions too though? If Jones doesn't fumble on the 10 yard line that could have changed the game as well. If the Chiefs don't false start every play or line up incorrectly the game would have been different. If CJGJ doesn't drop the pick. All I'm saying is the Lions had plenty of missed opportunities as well but they won.1 point

There's no chance Armenia is working with US on this to gather intelligence and pass it on to Russia, right?0 points

I really enjoyed the twitter hits on Rogers. You can't be a lunatic anti-science person and expect people to treat your medical diagnosis not a cause for that.0 points
