Btw I guess critiquing pbp announcers is what things come down to after you win a championship since were so accustomed to being critical of something. Lol3 points

I probably would've gave the offensive MVP to Edwards, felt his 2 TDs were by far the most important of the game.3 points

In 2021, there were 7 head coaches hired. 3 of those 7 remain with Campbell, Sirianni and Saleh. Saleh is hanging on by a thread and I would not be shocked if Sirianni got fired if the Eagles flopped in the playoffs. Sports Illustrated graded the coaching hires and Campbell received the second worst grade. Only David Culley got a worse grade. Sirianni got the 3rd worst grade. The highest grade hire was Saleh with Staley earning an A-. Urban Meyer was 4th with a B+ grade. Grading every 2021 NFL head coach hire - Sports Illustrated2 points

You’ve not heard Mark Levin? I envy our innocence. Limbaugh was comedy at first. Then George HW Bush invited him to the White House. Rush’s change was palpable and immediate. He took himself seriously, duped by his own scam.2 points

The designer of that set negotiated a royalty for every episode. A decent one too. When the bosses found out later they were not happy about it.1 point

Isiah Hole telling a story about the 1997 team forming a gauntlet for Team 144 to go through on the way to the team bus on the way to the game. Nice.1 point

Ironically I see Glenn as a Vrabel type. Would be wild if the Titans hired him. I'm not sure I would want Vrabel as coordinator. He would likely be one and done and only there to become head coach. I like the idea of the Lions developing coaches. Let Kelvin Shephard take over as defensive coordinator.1 point

In Karch's defense...we're a little spoiled by listening to Miller calling the Lions1 point

I think Jansen is a great color commentator. I think Karsch is very good at describing the game. He's likeable. Unlike when listening to Brandstatter, you can listen to Karsch and have a good idea in real-time exactly what is happening. But man, Karsch has to have the worst "excited voice" on big plays that I've ever heard from a PBP announcer. Not sure how to describe it. A squeaky, high-pitched rasp?1 point

"It's relevant that I was impeached, therefore I shouldn't be prosecuted" "What about the argument for no conviction during impeachment because prosecution was always there as a possibility?" "Impeachment is not relevant"1 point

Ha, imagine some OSU fan going nuts with envy and bitterness about Michigan being in the championship game so he wants to get away from college football for a few days by going to New York on a short holiday. Looks up and sees...1 point

Lets change the title of this thread to Michigan football AKA the Michigan revenue sport that doesn't have an uber jaded fanbase waiting in the dark for failure.1 point

The Tigers winning in 1984 was the first time I had the feeling, so that will always be special. The second that Gibby's ball landed in the upper deck we got in the car and went downtown. We didn't burn anything. Soon as I got there I ran into a friend. The most emotional was the 1997 Wings. The Stanley Cup, to me, is the hardest to win. Yes, I cried my eyes out that night, my eyes well up now when I think of it. After a solid decade of suck around these parts, this is wonderful. Go ahead and vacate it, you can't take away this night and this feeling. No snowstorm is going to stop me from being at that parade (whenever it is). I'll see you all down there and we and sing and shake our heads over all the losing in the Used To Be.1 point

ed hochuli is a defense attorney in phoenix. lots of carriers use his firm. i saw him once at a convention and he is HUGE! dude looked like the hulk. he was walking around waiting for someone to notice him. and yes, he was practicing while reffing on the weekends. i dont think it makes a difference if theyre full time or not. they only play games on the weekends, its not like mlb or the nba where they play multiple times a week and need full time officials. human error by the refs is part of the game. however, the league and refs should be accountable for their mistakes, which is not what happened here.1 point
