  1. But it's not because they think an election was stolen, it's exactly because they do know after all that is wasn't. The US actually does need a new Constitutional convention because the existing setup one has produced a government that has become strongly unbalanced in an anti-democratic direction - but it's to the advantage of the Reds. So for them reform toward more democracy is a losing proposition and they know it. That's why the specter of Strong Man/Fascist government doesn't move them to fear, they know if that figure comes in the name of protecting their prerogatives they will not be worse off than if the proper voting power were actually to flow the majority of people, who don't share their politics, and they lose their position of minority control or at least outsized minority leverage. It's actually rational behavior not based on a false premise but the real situation. The false premise is just the cover - a way to justify refusing to keep playing the democracy game if it means they will be the ones losing elections.

  2. There's so much going on in this picture. Rozema is trying to pick off his brother in law Gibson, but can we be certain he just threw the ball in the air or did he flub throw the ball that's on the ground there? And Wockenfuss isn't even extending an arm to catch the ball. What, is he going to catch it with his teeth? There's no foul line chalked on the field. Heather Nabozny wouldn't stand for that now. Of course, she wasn't in charge of it then, heck, she might not have even been alive then. Roger Craig has a hand in his pants. I guess that's an old baseball guy move, maybe something to do with the waste banding on those pants. Morris appears to be sitting down. Hold on, get off my lawn Morris is literally sitting on the lawn during drills? What gives there?

  3. SGL's mom follows me I think. All because I was speculating on 40 man stuff right after he was traded. Joe Jimenez used to search himself on twitter, and it showed.

  7. Not at all. 3rd rounders are mostly junk. Look at the 2018 draft, 6 years out and only 5 of 32 picks have played more than 25 NHL games. Only 2 of 32 picks have more than 6 career NHL goals. It seems like NBA picks need to be in the top 10 of the 1st round, NHL picks have value into the first half of the 2nd round, NFL is good for all 7 rounds, and MLB is all over the place. https://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/draft/nhl2018e.html

  9. Hamas has already radicalized the entirety of Gaza to murder Israelis. Even the UN agency was infiltrated, and PARTICIPATED, in the kidnapping of Israeli's. The easy answer to stopping ALL of this is the same as it was two months ago: The Unconditional Surrender of Hamas.

  10. These Hamasholes should protest Bibi at like Israeli embassies or something. They don't want a ceasefire. They want complete and total surrender by Israel. Not one of these Hamasholes is asking Hamas to release the hostages and surrender. It's telling this is the foreign issue they are so passionate about. Not Sudan or Syria or Ukraine but Israel and only their response, not Hamas's attack on Israel.

  12. At least from the Clinton "New Democrats" movement the Dems have been big time globalists and Biden is the 1st Democratic President to push back against that in any serious way so I wouldn't say it is accurate to say "Dems love tariffs" is applicable to much recent history. They may not have been as radically globalist as some in the GOP, but there was very little dissent from free-trade conventional wisdom from either party for 30 yrs or more.

  14. 19,000 orphaned children, with no adult, is a great way to create future Hamas members and terrorists. Its a great way to radicalize children. Terribly sad to see, if those numbers are correct, that 19,000 children are orphaned. The IDF response has proportionally gotten way out of line. What an utter tragedy on both side.

  15. That's what I'm hoping as well. But again... what if he DOES make the decision to retire? We're already losing Jonah Jackson. And IMO, our O-Line is the engine that drives the offense. Glasgow is also unsigned... although I think he resigns with the Lions on a 2-3 year deal. He could take over at Center if need be (he did this year when Ragnow was out for that game or two...); but then we need two guards (if Ragnow were indeed, to retire). Even if he doesn't retire... I guess the bottom line to me is that the team needs to make serious moves not only in having a starter at each of the 3 IOL positions... but also needs to have serious backup plans as well.

  18. Does it matter when it's vets that are keeping them in the game and the youth that's getting pummeled? What a waste of a season. Also, it was funny to see Ivey finally get the chance to drive a ball in the 4th after all the Bogey and Burks chucks and Cade pounding the ball and missed layup possessions then Monty calls a timeout right when Ivey was driving the ball and sets up a play for Burks to get the ball in the corner as the shot clock was winding down only to get a shot clock violation. Also, Sasser with a whole 10 minutes of action even with Killian out and refusing to put a real defender on Mitchell when he was going off (Ausar maybe? perhaps?). I don't think I've ever disliked a Pistons coach more and there's a long line of ones to dislike over the last 15 years.

  20. I think Rozema is throwing the ball in the air, and not very fast, which is why Wockenfuss doesn’t have his glove up and extended, although also, the ball is only about halfway there and big league players have great reflexes. I don’t think Gibson is necessarily busting his ass to get back to the base. Given this and the smiling casualness that everyone else—probably all pitchers being overseen by their pitching coach—seems to be displaying, I’m gonna guess this is the first pickoff practice of spring training in late February 1984. The ball on the ground is probably some other pitcher’s prior effort during this drill. The cap and lefty glove on the ground are almost certainly those of Gibson, who was conscripted for the drill.

  28. So my question earlier was a bit uninformed yet rhetorical based on casual readings not rising to actual studying. My perception is we have a young group with no claim on position. We are sticking them where they cause the least harm. That’s kind of troublesome.
