I gave my family October through almost all of March. I’ll report back to them again in (hopefully very late) October.6 points

It’s borderline offensive to conflate a woman exercising her Constitution right to protest while having a baby in a jumper on her back as being a human shield, with the idea of terrorists actually using babies as actual shields and putting them in a position to be killed in order to protect themselves. Believe it or not, they are not even close to being the same.4 points

I live in metro Detroit and cutting the cord on cable meant buying the Bally subscription for the Wings, Pistons and Tigers. The user interface is really horrible, hurry up Amazon!! On a side note, Thank You for your work on the Tiger GDTs. Just to let you know, it's appreciated!2 points

Our record against the AL East last season cost us any chance of competing. It was very dismal. Our record against the Central gives us hope for a better season this year. The only thing that can hurt us is more injuries. Greene needs to stay healthy all season. And our SP depth may allow a couple of injuries but not our entire staff, along with Toledo's staff, like the last couple (few) years.2 points

Since this site started as a baseball site and today's Opening Day, let's all collectively chill and enjoy Tigers baseball today. I'm asking everyone, myself included, to tone it down. I don't know precisely what that means but I think we're all friends in some way and like each other.2 points

While the numbers may not have shown it I did feel like he looked alot better as a true WR the last month or so of the season including the playoffs. By that I mean he didn't just run go routes to the pylon, he was actually running a variety of different routes and making some impressive catches where he came back for the ball. Im hoping it's a sign of him growing as a receiver and showing that he can be more than just a deep threat or gadget guy.2 points

HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!!! ♫ It's the most wonderful time of the year ♫ What a great day for baseball, no matter the weather. 28 teams are contenders. 28 fanbases still believe this can be a magical Summer.2 points

I love that the season is starting, and especially this season, when there is so much more hope for the sustainable future of this franchise than at any other time in my lifetime. I don't love that the season is starting on a Thursday. I believe baseball season should start on a Monday and end on a Sunday. That Monday should be a practical national holiday. They can make it happen by adding three off days to the season, which the players should like and the fans wouldn't mind so much. This year, they could have started it on April 1, and ended it on October 6. I love least of all that Opening Day is on Sweet Sixteen Thursday, and that the sports world will be focused on basketball instead of baseball. Again, Opening Day should be basically a national holiday, but at the very least, baseball should have the whole day to itself. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot, Manfred.2 points

Not to be that guy but this offense is only on pace to score 162 runs this season. Not to be that guy but this pitching staff is currently on pace to give up 0 runs this season.1 point

Asks the fiancee if he's a good guy. "Well no Johnny, I really can't stand him, I'm only in it for the money". But I don't know what we expect from these interviews. Certainly nothing in-depth.1 point

Hits by Baez and Tork have irrefutably proven that Spring Training stats don’t matter. Glad we can put that debate to rest.1 point

I’ve said a lot of things about Baby Doc over the years, and I have softened up on him since he’s now presiding over the organization’s directional shift, but I now have a heightened level of respect for the guy for sitting in the stands with the people in an enemy ballpark in high 40s temperature in March, instead of in a luxury box.1 point

This is actually a problem for the NBA product, imo. There's only one way to play and since defense has also been regulated against, the game is very one dimensional now. Maybe it's bringing them more casual fans and that's working for them so they don't care, but it's kind of made things a bit boring once you get past the superficial layer of hype.1 point

Yeah, the good old days were almost 50 years ago now, but I was found in the bushes outside my university residence building, early on a Sunday morning, after having bought and consumed a lot of beer at the folk club on Saturday night, The legend was that it was 20 but realistically probably only 14.1 point

Good riddance to Joe Lieberman. That piece of dirt cost millions of Americans access to quality, low cost healthcare by almost single handedly stripping the public option out of the ACA. He did so in the name of profit. Profit for the healthcare industry, profit for insurance companies, and profit for himself for the money he made blocking a public option. All the while, he was a total and complete hypocrite, receiving free, single payer, government-provided healthcare.1 point

You are routinely conflating "leftists" with being 100% death-to-Israel, or at least as not being as performatively pro-Israel as you are being. I assume you regard me as a "leftist", seeing how that's a pejorative to you. Anyhow, bad analogy. MAGA is not nobody. MAGA is Donald Trump and tens of millions of followers, many of whom are well-known to be armed to the teeth and itching for a fight. I have no idea who the **** these people in the prior page are, but when I start seeing them and others like them perpetrate murder in the name of Free Palenstine—or whatever it's called—here on American soil, then I will consider lighting my own hair on fire in solidarity with yours.1 point

Re: the whole Trump selling bibles thing.. The funniest comment I’ve heard is from Joy Behar, who said “the last time Trump was on his knees it was to pick up a French fry”. 😂 that’s gold.1 point

My summer plan. I go all in on the Bridges. Ivey, Duren and picks for Mikal. Sign Miles (I know I know) in free agency. Then sign Nic Claxton in free agency. Any money left goes for a veteran off the bench Starters are Cade, Bridges, Bridges, Fontecchio, Claxton. Four of those guys should shoot north of 35% from three. I think three of them could average over 20 points a game. Claxton gives you everything Duren provides on offense and is an elite shot blocker plus a candidate for all defensive team. Sasser, Thompson, Stewart, free agent is a respectable bench. That team makes the playoffs IMO. Obviously there are some issues. Trading for Bridges won't be easy. I don't want to pay Claxton more than $20m a year and I think he will cost more. You have to look past the other Bridges beating the **** out of his wife. Eh, we're more likely to end up with Todd Bridges.1 point
