  2. Trump really put Harris in her place. And that place is The White House.

  8. If the election were next Tuesday, I think Kamala wins walking away. But if the election had been held in September 2016, Hillary probably walks away with it too. The campaign needs to have a plan to sustain this success and ride the wave for two more months. Continue to attack and allow him to attack himself. No complacency. The road here should be easier than Hillary’s, because there is eight years of public opinion out on Trump now. But you can’t rest on your laurels.

  9. I loved Chris Hayes' summation of how starting with the rally hook, Harris would answer each question with her talking point then cast the line in Trump's direction with a pretty fly on it and watch him rise to the bait - rallies, McCann, the 2020 election. She did it over and over. And even better, she flat out won the Alpha dog contest. Can't say I was surprised but I was still impressed but the way she looked at him repeatedly and went straight at him, calling him a disgrace, unfit. She trampled his manhood over and over and he couldn't even look at her. Actually maybe too much for some bros to bear, but it was still great to see her stomp him in exactly the way his GOP brethren who hate him but are too scared of him to do. She is nothing if not fearless.

  12. It sure would be nice to see a Twins/Royals collapse down the stretch and us to pull off the miracle and grab a WC spot but even if they don't I'll be happy if the team just continues to play well and close the season strong. I'm not necessarily a believer in things carrying over to the next season but it certainly doesn't hurt things to close out the season on an upward trajectory. Not only would it possibly open ownerships eyes and potentially their wallets it also may help the young players buy into and believe in the organization and maybe work that much harder in the offseason. Regardless though like I said it can't be a bad thing to for them to keep winning the rest of the way even if they don't end up catching the Royals or Twins.

  16. If they were running a real campaign they would pull him off the road for a week and send him to training. Every day he says something off script that makes things worse. I’ve got to keep reminding myself this isn’t a real campaign and only a grift to suck as much money as possible from the Maga idiots and Sheldon Adelson’s trust fund.

  18. I actually have the exact opposite opinion. I LOVED when they went down to 4 team divisions. I thought when it was 5 teams in a division way too much of your season was spent on divisional opponents. When it was just 16 games a season combined with 4 opponents you had to play twice, half the season was just your division. When half the playoff slots were decided by total record (3 division winners + 3 wild card slots) that meant playing in a weak division could give a team a HUGE advantage. Team A, in a weak division, might win 6 of 8, then win only 4 of the other 8 games giving them 10-6. Team B, in a touch division, might win just 4 of 8 games, but even having a better record outside of the division, say 5 of 8 still only ends up with 9-7 and Team A gets the Wild Card.

  21. Did you mean dead goose? This is interesting to me. I don't know if its goose hunting season or if Canadian geese are a legally huntable bird. I was on the road in northern Ohio this past Saturday morning and noticed a couple of guys with a dog in a farm field, one of the guys carrying two dead Canadian geese. I think I saw rifles, but wasn't paying too much attention to it. So, I ultimately don't know how the geese ended up in the that individual's grasp. I was really more interested in getting to the destination for the day. But, if it is Canadian goose hunting season in Ohio, and the picture as you suggest is the culprit, how have the two not been tied together as at least a possibility?

  36. @ game 145 1962 Mets 35-110 (they actually had a tie that season) 2003 Tigers 37-108 2024 White Sux 33-112 In order to avoid breaking the Mets 40-120-1 record, The White Sux have go go 7-10 the rest of the way. (technically they would break the Mets record even if they get to 40 wins because they'd go 40-122), but I don't want them reaching 40 wins............I hate White Sox fans. Yeah, yeah, yeah........"DE-TROIT SUCKS!" Doesn't have quite the impact when there's 250 people at a game chanting it. Last 17, I think they'll go 4-13. I think they finish at 37-125. Nashville doesn't even want ya.
