  1. I got a doozy in my box this morning: a signed memo from Hegseth ****ting on trans people. I forwarded to my HR office. Contacting a lawyer later, and between the onslaught of harassment emails from OPM, the privacy across violation with Elon and the treasury, I think it might be fun to go on the offensive here.

  2. Sure but we aren’t getting 1/1 value out of him and likely never will. That doesn’t mean we should get rid of a good cheaper 4/5 because he didn’t reach his ceiling.

  3. If anything, assuming that Bowden is right and the Tigers have the best offer on the table (big assumption), I would think Flaherty might make it ever so slightly more appealing to sign here

  4. I love the wishful thinking but they aren’t going to come around. They are brainwashed. They can lose everything because of his policies and will just blame it on the woke left. They don’t have the brainpower and are easily controlled.

  9. You can lead the welcoming committee. I'll keep being vindictive bitch, thankyouverymuch. They knew. All of it. Who he was, what he stood for, the people it would hurt. They DID. NOT. CARE. They laughed at the thought of other people suffering and still voted for him. Not forgiving and definitely not forgetting.

  10. actually, maybe the only way out of our predicament is to feast off Trump's insanity to force him to go to war with Musk.

  11. Well said as usual. Perhaps other than "greedy" I should have said "dreamy' as in not allowing myself to dream it happening and then be disappointed. But yes as a fan and the true custodians of the Detroit baseball Club Harris/Ilitch as current managers are indeed obliged to present us owners with a winning team. Unfortunately it doesn't happen as much as we deserve.

  12. It's one thing to trade away a player at the deadline for a top 100 prospect and guy who starts almost immediately for you at SS and then resign him in in the offseason. It's a whole another level of insanely good fortune to also make the playoffs in the same year.

  13. My German is mishmashed heavily with HS Spanish. Its actually hilarious to my son who is getting his minor in German to hear me try to talk it. But, the Austrians and Germans actually do appreciate an attempt.

  15. I'm practically on the complete opposite end of this: Mize is not factoring into my thinking about the 2025 Tigers even a little. It's like he's not even on the team to me.

  17. A lot of business in the senate is conducted using unanimous consent to proceed. The Democrats definitely could grind the senate to a halt by not agreeing to unanimous consent. I didnt stay in a holiday inn express but have read multiple caro books about lbj in the senate.

  19. Dems literally have multiple lawsuits that stopped multiple executive orders. Elections have consequences. They aren’t helicopter parents.

  20. I don’t understand all of the Mize hate. He was serviceable last season, coming off TJ and major back surgery. I do think his time could be running short, but I’m anxious to see how he does this season.

  23. What is the going rate for a 25 year old that has already made 1st team all nba 5 times? We don't know since nobody like that has ever been traded. Now that one that has been was only shopped to a single team. Madness.

  24. It’s very Tigers-esque, isn’t it. By my count, Wings had 13 wins in 34 games under Lalonde but already 14 wins in 19 games under McLellan. Including since Dec 29 both a 7 game win streak and now a 6 game win streak.

  25. So the "trade him, then re-sign him in the off-season" unicorn has finally made an appearance. I love this signing, btw.

  30. Playing Vancouver in the 2nd game of a back 2 back? Schedule makers didn't do us any favors. Announcer said the Wings got into Vancouver early in the AM. Look for fatigue to possibly set in during the 3rd period.

  34. He will bear down on defense now and then. Mostly his on ball defense is bad. His help defense has been solid though, he rotates well and is good for a help side block now and then. Nothing special though.

  40. Jeezzz...it's not like signing him would hurt this team. Sign him or let a different team sign him. Then stash the money away. It's not like we'll spend it on a different player...Harris hasn't signed, or been allowed to sign, any position player to long term contract. I don't know why fans act like it's their money, ticket prices won't be cheaper if we cut payroll. I'm old enough to remember when fans couldn't wait until Miggys contract came off the books so we could sign better players. Fans are still waiting. Here comes Bregman, almost a perfect fit for Detroit. A position of need, a proven winner as well as a history with our manager. If the Tigers were serious, we would have signed him a long time ago. But sure, let's wait until Houston dumps salaries and re-signs him. We can all say how Harris was busy working on a trade for players with no trade clauses in their contract.
