I got a doozy in my box this morning: a signed memo from Hegseth ****ting on trans people. I forwarded to my HR office. Contacting a lawyer later, and between the onslaught of harassment emails from OPM, the privacy across violation with Elon and the treasury, I think it might be fun to go on the offensive here.4 points

Sure but we aren’t getting 1/1 value out of him and likely never will. That doesn’t mean we should get rid of a good cheaper 4/5 because he didn’t reach his ceiling.3 points

If anything, assuming that Bowden is right and the Tigers have the best offer on the table (big assumption), I would think Flaherty might make it ever so slightly more appealing to sign here3 points

I love the wishful thinking but they aren’t going to come around. They are brainwashed. They can lose everything because of his policies and will just blame it on the woke left. They don’t have the brainpower and are easily controlled.3 points

You can lead the welcoming committee. I'll keep being vindictive bitch, thankyouverymuch. They knew. All of it. Who he was, what he stood for, the people it would hurt. They DID. NOT. CARE. They laughed at the thought of other people suffering and still voted for him. Not forgiving and definitely not forgetting.2 points

actually, maybe the only way out of our predicament is to feast off Trump's insanity to force him to go to war with Musk.2 points

Well said as usual. Perhaps other than "greedy" I should have said "dreamy' as in not allowing myself to dream it happening and then be disappointed. But yes as a fan and the true custodians of the Detroit baseball Club Harris/Ilitch as current managers are indeed obliged to present us owners with a winning team. Unfortunately it doesn't happen as much as we deserve.1 point

2003 was more like needing to roll a 7 on a 6-sided die to win. By like mid-May I started every game with this thought: "Please just don't get no-hit."1 point

Decided to stick this in the Lions thread instead of the NFL thread. Could be of interest to the Lions.1 point

I watched La Bamba a few years ago again for the first in about 25 years and damn what a great movie. Also about 10 years ago I saw Los Lobos open for another band and became a big fan of theirs. Have seen them 3 times. I wish the movie was streaming but I know with song rights it's complicated. I just purchased Eddie and the Cruisers last week as I've been jonesing to watch that. I think the song Runaround Sue is preventing that from being available.1 point

My German is mishmashed heavily with HS Spanish. Its actually hilarious to my son who is getting his minor in German to hear me try to talk it. But, the Austrians and Germans actually do appreciate an attempt.1 point

Dems literally have multiple lawsuits that stopped multiple executive orders. Elections have consequences. They aren’t helicopter parents.1 point

Just now listening to Tiger Territory re: the Flaherty signing and Cody Stavenhagen says he is getting a lot of optimism from Tigers about Bregman situation.1 point

What is the going rate for a 25 year old that has already made 1st team all nba 5 times? We don't know since nobody like that has ever been traded. Now that one that has been was only shopped to a single team. Madness.1 point

So the "trade him, then re-sign him in the off-season" unicorn has finally made an appearance. I love this signing, btw.1 point

Yes, he is the biggest free agent to sign with the Tigers during the Harris era. That could carry some weight.1 point

This adds some resilience against the inevitable pitching injuries - YCNHTMP!1 point

I didn't see the opt out first, but the other deal was too good to be true. I am still happy with it. One year at a time with pitchers is fine.1 point

I’m listening to Ken and Paul from comfort of Montreal hotel room after 9 hour drive from Sarnia today. Fatigue is setting in for me and it’s only the 2nd period!1 point

Playing Vancouver in the 2nd game of a back 2 back? Schedule makers didn't do us any favors. Announcer said the Wings got into Vancouver early in the AM. Look for fatigue to possibly set in during the 3rd period.1 point

This is also the same team that suspended Ray Rice for only two games until the video leaked.1 point

Trump is the Chairman of the Board who works 5 hours a week. Musk is the CEO Probably the best way to look at our current predicament1 point

If you went to a public forum 30 minutes ago and suggested this trade. You would have been laughed off of the internet.1 point

Jeezzz...it's not like signing him would hurt this team. Sign him or let a different team sign him. Then stash the money away. It's not like we'll spend it on a different player...Harris hasn't signed, or been allowed to sign, any position player to long term contract. I don't know why fans act like it's their money, ticket prices won't be cheaper if we cut payroll. I'm old enough to remember when fans couldn't wait until Miggys contract came off the books so we could sign better players. Fans are still waiting. Here comes Bregman, almost a perfect fit for Detroit. A position of need, a proven winner as well as a history with our manager. If the Tigers were serious, we would have signed him a long time ago. But sure, let's wait until Houston dumps salaries and re-signs him. We can all say how Harris was busy working on a trade for players with no trade clauses in their contract.1 point
