  1. appears they targeted him due to his past actions, so that's Capital Murder, not manslaughter

  2. Have you ever once criticized any of the fraudulent activity that this President has been involved in or alleged to have been involved in? Has it ever bothered you that he's making tens-of-millions of dollars selling phony bibles or running a crypto-currency operation, pushing people to invest in it, while in the White House? If it hasn't then politely sit down and be quiet. If Steve Forbes or anyone else has evidence of fraudulent investment activity committed by Ilhan Omar or her brother or any member of her family he's welcome to turn information over to the Securities and Exchange Commission or the Federal Trading Commission or the FBI or any number of law enforcement agencies that can investigate it. It should be investigated and due process should be carried out. But stop feigning anger or faux outrage when you voted for a guy who ran scam charities, bilked business contractors out of money, and is actively profiting off of his role in the White House.

  3. Its too bad that was a tail light on an ice vehicle and not a window of the US Capitol building. Or a Capitol police officers face. If it were the Capitol he would be posthumously pardoned.

  4. Why would a troll ever do that? He’s not here to debate. He’s here to get his maga rocks off by owning the left. I know it’s pathetic behavior but nothing you say will ever change him. In fact, the more we engage, the bigger Shrek’s boner gets.

  7. To be fair, baseball was a pay to win league well before the free agency era. The Yankees and Cardinals paid big money for decades so they could win. Some of the money they spent even went to players.

  9. I think we all except over the next couple of offseasons that all of Goff, St. Brown, Sewell, and quite possibly Hutch will be restructured. Plus, we'll have guys like Anzalone, Decker, and Reader coming off the books. The cap doesn't exist in a vacuum either. It too will change, it will go up, and our financial outlook will change. I don't think making one major free agent signing is going to turn us into the Saints or transform us back to where we were when Mayhew and Lewand had all that dead cap money on the books from Calvin, Stafford, and Suh that hurt us for a few years.

  10. Like you actually give a ****. GTFO with that. The guy you voted in as President ran scam charities that had to pay back money and bilked who knows how many people out of payments for work they did.

  15. No offense but those are just dumb. Beyond maybe punishing small business owners who may have nothing to do with this, it is just substitution effect. The stuff will just get bought another day. Some PR person will claim some bogus economic impact.

  19. One problem is that eveyone is so obsessed with winning championships that anything less than that is considered failure. So, every year 29 teams fail and the average team wins a championship only once every 30 years. I alao agree that villains (teams that spend a lot of money and win more than other teams) are good for sports. Every team having the same probability of winning each year would be boring.

  20. HE'S A ****ING PEDOPHILE How many people they gonna kill in Minnesota this weekend to keep attention away from this? What other awful **** are they going to do to keep attention off this. Next time I have to hear some moral bullspit from a right-wing Christian, this stuff is going right back into their face. You worship a pedophile and you know it, it's no secret, there is no "I had no idea". Yes you did, but your bigotry is stronger than your care for children. Long as it ain't YOUR daughter, I guess.

  21. Suns did to us what we do to everyone else on defense and it worked. This is what the playoffs will look like when other teams really lock in defensively and play as hard as we do every night. I actually applaud JB for benching Ivey who looked terrible in the first half on both ends of the court. Bad timing if you want to trade him, but he's been total trash this year. That said, how do you not put the best perimeter defender in the league on the other team's best player who's having a career night? It makes absolutely no sense. And why take out Duren and Ausar out so soon in the third when you've actually made a run and cut it to 3? Are these guys 40 year old vets or in their early 20s? Duren was dominating in this game and he doesn't even crack 30 minutes. Ausar is at 25 minutes. Jenkins nearly played as many minutes as those guys and he was having another bad night yet we didn't try out Sasser when we couldn't hit a three to save our lives? Mind-boggling stuff from JB, who's done a phenomenal job creating a culture and will probably win CotY due to the record versus expectations, but is failing left and right at in-game management. As everyone knows, shooting is a real problem, but the solution isn't more Duncan Robinson types. We have zero 3 and D players. You have 1 guy who can shoot that gets hunted by the opposition every time on defense, and then a bunch of guys who can defend but can't find the bucket on offense. Getting some 2-way players HAS to be a priority for the trade deadline if you want to compete past round 1 of the playoffs.

  23. The way to free oneself of a troll is to proceed as though they're not there, which includes not only blocking then, but also, not unblocking blocked posts to engage with them, or even referring to them in other posts. I myself have been guilty of both. Attention, any attention, even the level of attention in this post, is oxygen.

  24. The selling started last night. Today the entire market is down. I read a bunch of different takes on why, but they are all over the place. Option expiration might be as good of a reason as any, but these are the metals so there is the paper vs. physical thing, and the different exchanges they trade on. Also, the dollar index is up which trades inverse to gold & silver.

  33. If Baltimore wants to re-sign Linderbaum they're running out of time. Free agency starts in five weeks. It probably doesn't help that they just fired their head coach and brought in a defensive guy, who still hasn't hired an offensive staff. Maybe they'll make it happen, but I think it would be negligent for the Lions to not talk to him if he hits the open market. Not for nothing, Linderbaum is an Iowa guy. He, Campbell, and LaPorta were all there together. I don't think it's quite this straightforward, but even supposing it is, the Branch situation has to be fluid, no? Hell, maybe LaPorta too. Who knows what an Achilles or back injury will bring? I don't think they should be reckless, but if you can get a guy like Linderbaum for 3 years at $54MM, which would match Creed Humphrey but not make him the highest paid center ever, I think you have to consider it. Is that $18MM APY you now don't have to re-sign guys? Yes, but you also now have one of the best in the league at a position of need. Before his injury, Branch was on a trajectory to demand even more than that (something closer to the 4/86 Kerby got). I would rather sign Linderbaum and draft Branch's eventual replacement than sit on our hands hoping to re-sign injured guys who never return to form.

  39. I didn't even like him particularly as the person he was presenting as. Not that he was a bad guy, necessarily, although he did get caught up in several bad guy things. But I always imagined it would be more likely he would bully me around for kicks than have a beer with me. Honestly? I'm glad he and Tigers have apparently cut ties with one another and he's not hanging around the team trying to maintain his thumbprint on it. His time with the team seems like a hundred years ago to me, probably because the last seven years he was just so bad at baseball. He was, in fact, the worst player in baseball who was allowed to come to the plate at least 2,500 times during those years. https://www.sports-reference.com/stathead/tiny/cbWJt

  42. Disclosure; That article is behind a paywall for me. This is a "market" thing. When the value of the dollar (against another currency) goes down, the "purchasing power" of our money is less. Market 101. The dollar index they are talking about is the value of the US dollar against a basket of other currencies so it is going down against many. Depending on what flavor of economic/fiscal theory you buy into, this comes into play. In this case, a cheaper dollar is good for US exports. On the other hand, it is bad for "our" consumer because our money doesn't go as far. When TPTB decided globalization was a good thing and took advantage of environmental and wage arbitrage through slave labor and 3rd world countries to exploit and dump waste, our goose was cooked. We went though the industrialization era of mass produced automobiles and other products - the hey day of American workers - to shipping our jobs and production all over the world. The giant sucking sound as Ross Perot said. I lived it, I watched it. I even helped it happen, and I hate that. But I had to eat. It's too late. All the jobs we lost are not coming back, and on top of that, any that can be replaced by a robot, will be. Even if they tried, it would take years. That's assuming the ****wads running this place actually give one good ****. But they don't. I don't know if they are all actually this economically illiterate, or just play the role on TV.
