I'm not saying it's necessarily true but when people talk about wins carrying over they're not so much "momentum" that carries over its the positive vibe you get from winning and believing that you can actually compete next year which makes you want to work that much harder in the offseason. Losing just creates a negative environment and makes it harder to get up every day and put the work in.

Teoscar Hernandez to the Ms for reliever Erik Swanson and prospect Adam Macko. Macko is the Ms 8th ranked prospect by pipeline with a 45 overall grade. Swanson's statcast page is sexy as hell so he looks to be a dominant reliever.

Normally I would agree but let's face it they really haven't been tested at all the whole season and outside of a brief moment in the Maryland game they never were even remotely in danger of losing so there was never a need to open up the playbook. Why expose any plays when the opponent can't stop your run game?

I still get the feeling UM has only scratched the surface of their playbook and are going to surprise people in Columbus in regards to some of the designs and plays you will see. Of course if JJ is off the mark it really doesn't matter but they've just been so vanilla on offense particularly in the red zone it just makes you think they have to be keeping a bunch of plays a secret.

Speaking of big men I dont know how he has been defensively but offensively looking at the stat sheet he's been pretty impressive and efficient and that's Bol Bol for Orlando. I was a little disappointed when the trade fell through cause I thought he had some potential and it appears he is hitting it. At the very least his length wouldve been of some use for us

Seeing stuff like this that shows how much it means to the players is another reason I don't mind winning "meaningless" games.

Not a pff subscriber so I don't have all the grades but I seen that St. Brown was the highest graded player on offense at an 89 and Jarrad Davis, yes Jarrad Davis was highest on defense at I believe 84. The lowest on the defense and team was actually Kerby Joseph who last week was the highest along with being the defender of the week in the NFC. Funny how quickly things can change. The free press also said the whole offensive line got good grades with Ragnow and Decker being the highest but they didnt print their numbers.

Also on top of this they only have a plus 14 margin despite the soft schedule and 7-2 record and most amazingly have given up more yards, more 1st downs, more yards per play and more time of possession to the opponents. Losing all those stats normally means you're a losing team, not a 7-2 one.

The Tennessee game was week 1 which is the most volatile week in the NFL so whether fair or not people don't put as much stock into those wins as others. Also Tennessee was short handed yet controlled most of the game, the Giants needed a late comeback to win by 1, again those are things analytics looks at, if you are getting beat for 50 out of the 60 minutes that is going to go against you. The Ravens game was even more lopsided, the Ravens controlled that game and had almost double the total yards, again it took a late comeback to win by 1 in a game they were getting beat the vast majority of the time. Yes the final score is all that matters but it doesn't always paint the picture on who was the better team majority of the game and in the Giants sake most of their wins have been those type which is why the metrics were so down on them.

Yeah I don't care about draft position cause I just don't love any of the top guys. Bryce Young could be that guy but he has some question marks and the Texans are so bad it would be hard to finish worst than them even if we tried so he likely was a no go anyway.

I read an article last week that showed several analytics that pointed to the Giants being the worst 6-2 team in NFL history, considering they didnt exactly dominate a 1 win Texan team Id imagine that holds true with 7-2.

Joel Embiid just had a Chamberlainesque stat line of 59 points, 11 rebounds, 8 assists and 7 blocks. Did it on just 28 FGA too thanks to going an unWilt like 20-24 from the line.
