His supposed great blocking coming out of college was why I wasn't that opposed to the pick at the time. Some of the pundits said he the best blocking TE they ever scouted with some saying that he was essentially an extra tackle that could also go out and catch passes.
-
Considering the markets they play in I think the nets and Knicks could both make a case for worst run teams in the league.

Is Killian officially a worst pick than Stanley? Yeah there may not be a Booker drafted shortly after him like with Stanley but Stanley managed to stay in the league for 7 years, not sure Killian is going to do that. -
The in the division stuff is overrated imo, now if we were say 5-2 and directly competing for the division with the Vikings then sure I'd be upset if we helped them improve but we're not competing with them this year and likely not next year either so helping them right now doesn't mean anything to me.
-
ESPN gave the Vikes a B+ and us a B for the trade and that's about where Im at. I think given where the Vikings are at any upgrade no matter how small or how insignificant the position could be the difference between a playoff win or loss so in that regard I give them the slight win but it certainly wasn't a home run or albatross for either side.

For our sake let's hope it isnt a prime time game.

Another thing that hurt Hock is that he just never consistently developed into that real red zone threat you need from your TE if he isn't going to be a plus blocker or big play guy. Where TE's provide extra value over their raw numbers is when they give you bonus of being a real TD threat when the field condenses near the goal line. Hock was never that guy you could just throw it up to and expect him to either create the separation needed to get the ball or just out jump the defender for the 50/50 ball.
-
Even if Hock is a top 5 TE unless he is elite there is little difference between the production you get from an average TE and above TE. The production difference is maybe 200 yards over the course of the season and that's being generous. In most cases you an sub in a plethora of average to below average guys and get within 10 yards in any given game of what you're gonna get with a non elite guy. There just simply isn't a ton of value in that position.

Despite trading away virtually every good player on the their team the Jazz move to 6-2 on the year after crushing the Grizzlies tonight.

Gotta be impressed that they fought to the end despite being on a back to back against one of the best teams in the league, they had some chances near the end with Cade getting a couple good looks in the final minute but unfortunately they didn't go down. Team playing much better the last 4 games than it did the previous 4 which is another good sign. -
With the energence of Amani last year and guys like jacobs looking good in a small sample before his injury I started to think/hope in the offseason that between Glenn and Pleasant we had sorta a db whisperer(s) but sadly I should've known that wasn't going to be the case.

Week Eight: Miami Dolphins (4-3) @ Detroit Lions (1-5)

Id say there is a better than 50/50 chance he gets fired if they win under 3 games this year. I don't really have a reason to think that other than just the fact that coaches generally don't keep their jobs after a 3 win and sub 3 win season their first two years no matter how much of a rebuild it was to start with. -
I remember hearing that this FA class is pretty weak so the Pistons may feel that its better to use some of that space on Bogey now vs. using it on a potentially inferior player come summer time, they also may feel in 2 years the FA class may look more attractive so his expiring contract may be worth more to a team then instead of during this class.

Ive heard some compare him to Derozan in regards to scoring due to the abundance of mid range shots, if he can score like him while being a better faciltator and defender that wouldn't be the worst outcome in the world. -

Cade's putting up those numbers despite not shooting the lights out from three or getting to the line a bunch so those scoring numbers have the potential to be even better.otoh the longer he goes without doing those two things the more worried I get that he won't develop either skill, atleast with any sorta consistency. -

I think Klay is the only guy I saw that is resting for the Warriors who are on the back end of a back to back. -

You just know if the ball bounced straight into a defender's hands instead of out of bounds it would've been ruled a catch. -
Stay classy MSU! And what a shit show of "security" back there, seriously one dude makes zero attempt to stop it!
-
Yeah he may be a good coach, I really don't know but it's just crazy to me to think how he got such a big contract with accomplishing so little. As of now it looks like MSU totally overreacted to a couple wins against UM and the rumors of him going to LSU.
-
-
lol to think Mel Tucker is the 5th highest paid coach in CFB only behind Swinney, Saban, Smart and Riley. They got there by winning championships or at the very least making multiple playoff appearances where as Tucker got there by beating UM a couple times.
-
To add to this it's the same reason Ryan Day ran that fake punt against Rutgers when they were up a billion. Do you think he really cared if they won by a billion or a billion + 7? No it was to just give one more thing for future teams to think about when reviewing your tape.
-
You throw that trick play in at this point not necessarily to tack on points in this one but to give future opponents(OSU) something to think about when reviewing your tape. They may try a similar play in the future but run different routes with the receivers which would completely throw off the other team.
-
I know MSU isn't good but this was the healthiest they've been all season getting back some key players they didn't have earlier and they of course treated this game as their season so this isn't just a normal win against a 3-4 team. I hope voters keep that in mind when they review this game.
-
I believe they mentioned earlier in the game he is the backup snapper too, totally a thankless position, you're never going to get praised for doing it right but if things go wrong you're going to be at the center of attention.
