Almost Heaven - John Denver would have written "Country Roads" about Michigan if he hadn't gotten stuck in Toledo and not made it here. Pitch 1-2 innings and make adjustments for the next stint. And hopefully improve. I'm not saying he'll pitch that often... Just sayin'... Can he field or is he another Malloy? They used him all over the field. Everywhere except SS and catcher I believe... I want to see if he's just a AAAA guy though, that'll never "get it" in MLB (figure out this level of pitching)... Or if he can figure this **** out and approach what he was doing in AAA. He'd be useful if he could do that...
Sports_Freak
Yeah, Hinch. DH your best outfielder and put the weakest OF you can in the lineup. LF and RF should be an adventure tonight. Skubal should refuse to pitch...lol

And just to make it worse, our two RHH catchers both have reverse platoon splits. Edited July 12 by gehringer_2

On a team with Riley Greene? maybe the best of he Malloy and Vilade, but Canha is probably DHing because he is borderline hurting. Vilade started out life as a SS and has been working his way down the defensive value scale ever since, to pretty much rock bottom at LF. An ex-SS should at least have an above average arm for a LF.
