Speculation that the Saints are will to just try out Colin Kaepernick and of course the conservatives are going to lose their minds........you know, the ones that preach about Jesus and religion and redemption?      Meanwhile they missed out on getting a serial sexual offender, they would have been just fine with him.

nobody does strawmen quite like mcs.

I heard speculation that the Jets may part with both of their top 10 picks, if true I think that is way too much. Yes this draft isn't that good and yes Hill can be a game changer but that is too steep of price for me just to then have to give him a huge extension.

Also we don't know how much he benefits from the attention Kelce draws and having Mahomes at qb. Also he has games where he just disappears, he isn't prime Calvin where seemingly every game he is putting up 100 with a TD, Hill will routinely have games where you don't even know he his playing.  If Im giving up 2 1sts and making him the highest paid wr I want more consistency than that.

Not trying to be funny but with Tua at QB it seems like the Dolphins would be a terrible fit for him. Sure they could still use him in little screen passes and let him work his magic after the catch but anything downfield will basically be negated with Tua's inability or unwillingness to throw the ball more than 10yds down the field.

This sucks as the Chiefs are almost sure to take a WR now with either their own 1st or the Dolphins.

I was thinking that too but they also could be of the school of thought that by having one of the best qbs in football they don't need to spend a 1st on one. Even though it pissed Rodgers off the Packers always had this philosophy and it worked for them, same with Brady and the Pats.

Schefter says it's a done deal, Hill to the Dolphins for 2022 1st(29 overall), 2nd and 4th plus 2023 4th and 6th. That is quite the haul for a WR.

The value of draft picks has just dropped like a rock this off season.  So many huge trades with multiple picks being exchanged.

Is this the NFL (over?) reacting to the Rams getting a SB championship by giving away all their picks?

Will this be an offseason trend for the next few years now until a good number of teams fail with the whole trade picks for a superstar player approach? It sure feels like we're in for at least another season or two of this. We're going to have to sit through the Browns, Dolphins and Raiders failures for a couple of seasons before GMs start to learn, if they start to learn. Of those three teams, I think the Browns (of all teams) could be the ones that find the most success as they have the best QB of the bunch.

Don’t forget Brady to TB too.   Teams that feel they are a player away are going to Mortgage the future to win now.

That's the nature of the NFL anyway. If you don't make the playoffs in three straight years, you're on the hot seat if you aren't fired outright. If these teams can't manage some success now, those 2024 and 2025 draft picks won't matter to those front offices anyway. Becomes a problem of the replacement regime.

I always thought teams were too protective of draft picks before but now it appears the pendulum has swung to the other extreme.

People will look at the Rams but they were smart about who they used the picks on. First even though Goff wasn't everything they hoped for there is nothing wrong with using capital to make sure you get the qb you want most in the draft, which is what they did.

They then used 2 1sts on the defacto number 1 cb in the game while he was still young.  Again at the stage they were in nothing wrong with that.

Of course we all know about the Stafford trade, using 1sts to get a premium qb in his prime is perfectly ok and finally they traded some picks for the best available pass rusher Von Miller.

They were smart and calculated about their picks, they didn't just dump picks for guys when they were years away from being SB contenders or for guys that were about to fall off a cliff performance wise.

The other Grand Jury was denied?

the other grand jury declined to charge him.

the plaintiffs' lawyer in the case will have to find another county to keep up the pressure on watson to settle.  watson should just settle the cases.  get the women some money and they'll go away.  the problem is that tony buzbee doesnt need the money.  he's already a multi multi millionaire.  what he wants is the publicity so he can get more business and run for office again.

so no nominal amount of money that would usually settle a claim like this is going to entice him to do it.
