I’m glad I’m not the only one.

This is why Hinch resting everyone on Sunday (even after Cleveland fell behind) made no sense. He was conceding to having all three games in Cleveland rather than try to have them at home. In the end Cleveland won Sunday, so it didn't matter. To not even try though was nonsensical. You can hold Skubal back, but all the regulars should have played, especially with the guaranteed off day on Monday.

May this day be forever remembered in Tigers lore as The Jack Flaherty Game.

I will award you many bonus points and blessings to your spawn should this come to fruition.

It was somewhat defensible to give us a two-hour exclusivity window when there were four games, but what’s the big idea of giving us a two-hour exclusivity window today? Why not start us at 2pm? Do they want people to bail on the end of our game for the Cubs game?

Bert, same here. I didn’t realize this either until last night.

It's why winning the division was so important. A few more wins during the season may have even gotten us a bye in this round.

And this game isn't on ESPN? I thought they had exclusive rights. The At Bat app is showing the TV game is on ABC.

Finding some offense is the issue right now.  It ain't the coordinates of where the game is being played.

Same as it has been for close to a month now. Not making moves at the deadline helped ruin this season. Keeping the best overall record should have been the goal, not backing into the last playoff spot.

Who at the deadline at their play level at the time would’ve you replaced? Who was out there that was an upgrade and what would it have cost? I personally think Harris was in a tough place there to make any changes offensively and decided the best course of action was to ride the horses that built your lead there. Now looking back on it sure should we have made changes, probably.

The problem with our offense now isn’t the players that were over performing to their careers. The biggest problem is our better players who would’ve never been replaced anyway simply aren’t performing even at replacement level for over a month now.

Edited the first post to reflect the change.

One of my dad's favorite saying is "If you do it right he first time, you don't have to do it again."  Feel free to use, but do so wisely.

Out of reactions, but 100%

Please only use Perez as a defensive replacement today....................

You know the squirrel thing. But if you expect him to somehow find a nut today you would probably be wrong.

We're all behind on the pitch count
Can't hit 'em Tigers!
Resse Olsen's down and we're taking bad swings
Can't hit 'em Tigers!
There'll be mad in Tiger Town
When Kwan goes long
And when AJ puts Troy Melton where he doesn't belong
We're all behind on the pitch count
Can't hit 'em, Detroit Tigers, can't hit 'em Tigersssssssss!!!

We've had a gaping hole at 3B all season, no matter if you are/were a McKinstry/Colt believer or not. And there were certainly third basemen that were available (some moved, some didn't).

Personally I also believed that Baez was not sustainable, since he has a plenty long track record. I can understand though why that would have been more difficult to do, given the changes he made defensively and in his role without complaint.

That said, there were other teams (Seattle, for one) that identified their needs, and went and did something about it. (The Yankees also did this, but with not great results.) The Tigers decided not to, and are paying the price for it today.

Same as last year except we ran over Houston in two.  First scheduled home game is game 3 of the ALDS.
