  1. Past hour
  2. I did and wish I had not. I don't have the stomach for those things.
  3. He’s a charmer
  4. It seems like outfielders don't bring back a lot in trades unless they are superstars, so I suspect they'll hold onto Greene and Carpenter into 2028. Same with Torkelson. All three can help them win over the next couple of years. I dom't expect any of them to last beyond that. Hopefully, they will have enough young players in place at the end of 2028 so that they have a strong core.
  5. Greene has cut down SO% and increase BB% without sacrificing power so far this season vs last. I think that’s what had been hoped for. Torkelson will always find himself on the short end of a lot of fan evaluations because he isn’t living up to a 1st overall pick. Even if he improves his consistency and/or progresses his overall game, I think he’ll remain one of the primary targets of angst from the fan base.
  6. such an asshat
  7. Did you see the video of the Edwards injury? It played on twitter when I wasn't expecting it but I refused to post it here. Just...too gross. I'm surprised he didnt break his leg or tear his knee totally up.
  8. No but what does wenceel perez have to do to lose playing time? Didn’t hit 2H last year, nor in spring, nor this year. Julks or Workman probably need a shot. Perez never had a track record as a hitter so not sure why his rope is so long. one silver lining is unlike last years roster, there should be an easy upgrade to find a league average OFer if meadows doesn’t come back or Clark doesn’t get promoted.
  9. I’m still aboard the “trade Riley before the end of his contract because he seems like a player that’s going to age very poorly” boat Torkelson I have no issue with. If he’s not hitting, he will get less ABs. His defense is steady, and he isnt likely going to force us into either a long term deal or a must-trade scenario in the future.
  10. Are we still hating Riley Greene and Spencer Torkelson? I just want to know.
  11. 9 of the 15 clubs in the AL are sub .500 teams.
  12. Definitely need to iron out a couple of things with the pitching staff, but I think we are better than a .500 team for a couple reasons 1.) The early season schedule hasn’t been especially favorable. We’ve played a lot of interleague series already and only 1 of those 6 teams is under .500 (Marlins) 2.) We’ve had some very bad luck with BABIP—particularly when it comes to balls that would’ve been homeruns in most other parks besides the one we are at. 3.) Despite the pitching woes, we are still 2nd in the AL in run differential. We have the 4th best team batting average and the 4th best earned run average in the AL also. Theres only 5 teams in the AL above .500 as of this moment and we are one of them despite being swept on the road twice already. I think as things balance out, we will be a solid playoff contender with how we are currently constructed and Harris will have to make the tough decisions to sell off a couple prospects to patch the holes in the roster come June/July. You can’t not trade Skubal, sign Framber, JV and Jansen, and then stand pat at the deadline again.
  13. Today
  14. I’m counting eight new names at DL.
  15. 2026 Post-Draft Depth Chart I put a line ( | ) where it felt like a general "no sweat training camp" ended. Everyone to the right is likely fighting for a job, though some (like Rakestraw and Frazier) may have an inside track relative to others, and certainly a 7th round (and maybe even a 6th round) rookie can easily fall to the right of that line with a bad camp. Underline is a veteran addition, bold is a draft pick, italics is a UDFA signing. QB (2/3): Jared Goff, Teddy Bridgewater | Luke Altmyer RB (3/6): Jahmyr Gibbs, Isiah Pacheco, Sione Vaki | Jacob Saylors, Jabari Smalls, Kye Robichaux WR (5/9): Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams, Isaac TeSlaa, Greg Dortch, Kendrick Law | Dominic Lovett, Tom Kennedy, Jackson Meeks, Malik Cunningham TE (2/6): Sam LaPorta, Brock Wright | Tyler Conklin, Zach Horton, Thomas Gordon, Miles Kitselman OT (3/5): Penei Sewell, Blake Miller, Larry Borom | Giovanni Manu, Devin Cochran IOL (4/11): Tate Ratledge, Cade Mays, Christian Mahogony, Juice Scruggs | Ben Bartch, Miles Frazier, Michael Niese, Colby Sorsdal, Seth McLaughlin, Mason Miller, Melvin Priestly EDGE (3/8): Aidan Hutchinson, Derrick Moore, DJ Wonnum | Payton Turner, Ahmad Hassanein, Tyler Lacy, Eric O'Neill, Anthony Lucas IDL (5/9): Alim McNeill, Tyleik Williams, Levi Onwuzurike, Skyler Gill-Howard, Tyre West | Mekhi Wingo, Myles Adams, Chris Smith, Aidan Keanaaina LB (4/7): Jack Campbell, Derrick Barnes, Malcolm Rodriguez, Jimmy Rolder | Damone Clark, Trevor Nowaske, Erick Hunter CB (5/9): DJ Reed, Terrion Arnold, Roger McCreary, Rock Ya-Sin, Keith Abney | Ennis Rakestraw, Khalil Dorsey, Nick Whiteside, De'Shawn Rucker DB (3/9): Kerby Joseph, Christian Izien, Avonte Maddox, [Brian Branch-PUP] | Chuck Clark, Loren Strickland, Dan Jackson, Thomas Harper, Aamaris Brown ST (3/3): Jack Fox, Jake Bates, Hogan Hatten Initial look with 85/90 spots filled says there's a lot of turnover, but not a lot of glaring holes. It wouldn't hurt to have more security in the defensive backfield, but Kerby is such an unknown to us. If he's 100% it's probably fine until Branch gets back. If he's not, that looks like a hole. Additional linebacker depth wouldn't hurt either, since the Lions tend to use linebackers on special teams quite a bit. The camp battles will mostly come in the trenches and the defensive backfield. Currently 42 spots are already filled by my rough estimation, leaving 11 spots for 48 guys.
  16. Getting back to baseball, for the series in Atlanta, the starting pitching is Mize, then Skubal, and finally Framber.
  17. Hinch for Chapman sounds fair
  18. Avs sweep the Kings, the great Kopitar says goodbye. https://x.com/NHL/status/2048546658472845360/video/1?s=61
  19. Yesterday
  20. +1 more: UDFA Aidan Keanaaina is a DT.
  21. I’ve noticed that Jonas hasn’t really tried to go head to head with Tadej this year. I don’t think he will ever beat Tadej again. I’m expecting Jonas to go for early retirement before too long. I’m not sure his heart is really in it anymore.
  22. always liked wout. wears his heart on his sleeve. seixas is the biggest thing in france outside of their rugby/soccer teams. i assume he's doing the tour this year, but maybe they let him to the vuelta or giro instead so he has a chance to win. vingegaard is done. if seixas isnt up to it, the tour will be a foregone conclusion for tadej this year.
  23. Almost 24 hours on and it's wild how the main response has centered around getting the Ballroom built. Just an incredible like when Americans are paying $1.50 more per gallon for gasoline than they were eight weeks ago
  24. The Atlanta Braves are also the first team in baseball to reach 20 wins this year.
  25. I suspect that Torkelson has met his slumpbuster.
  26. Good the guys finally have a day off. The series in Atlanta is going to be a real test. The Braves are hot, so hopefully the pitching can stand up to their offensive prowess and the Tigers’ hitting can escalate.
