  1. Where’s the self defense opportunity for people seeing a guy with a gun walking around? Didn’t one or two of the victims see him shoot? This is the problem with vigilante justice. How is someone to know he’s there to “keep law and order” and not to just kill people? How are they to know he’s not an active shooter? What’s the difference? There is none.

  3. Not sure about this game. My brain says OSU is going to win by 21 points or more. My gut says UM is going to make this a game and maybe win. They are certainly due. I am an OSU fan and have watched every game this year. The only real way to beat OSU is to rattle Stroud early. If Hutchinson sacks him a couple times in the first quarter and/or Stroud throws an INT I think UM has a solid chance at winning. If I were UM I would absolutely take the ball first if given the chance. The worst thing you can do is let Stroud and the WRs get into a groove early. If OSU starts with the ball and JSN, Wilson, and Olave are moving the ball with ease, Stroud is throwing dimes, and the defense gets 1 stop the game is over IMHO. Also, Wilson and Olave get most of the press, and deservedly so, but in my opinion Jaxon Smith-Njigba is the best WR on the team, and that is just crazy. The OSU defense dominated MSU and Purdue (I know Purdue scored 31 points, but most of those were after OSU put in their 3rd string and walk-ons). However, there have been multiple games this year where the OSU defense just cannot get off the field on third down. The pass rush is not remotely as good as it has been in years past. Even in the MSU game, the defense was getting the ball moved on them early, but MSU had two terrible fumbles (one was inexplicably called an incomplete pass). If it wasn't for those two fumbles I think MSU would have scored a few TDs in the first half. It wouldn't have mattered because OSU's offense was going completely off, but I am just saying the defense is not great. With that said about the defense, I would expect it to be great next season. Sawyer, JTT, and Williams are going to be a dominate defensive line, the LBs are going to be much better next year with the emergence of Chambers and Hicks hitting campus. Burke is going to be an all-american candidate next year at CB. The safeties are a bit of a question mark, but Hickman has turned into a very solid player. What I am trying to say is: UM better figure out a way to win this year because I don't think they will have a chance to do so for a few years if they do not. As for Harbaugh: I don't like the guy as an OSU fan, but the idea that someone like Matt Campbell is a better coach is looney tunes.

  5. Sure, Michigan will likely lose on Saturday, perhaps badly. But if you can’t enjoy this Michigan 10-1 season so far and the buildup to this week’s game; why even suffer the aggravation of being a Detroit sports fan the past five years. Despite the odds against them vs OSU, Michigan still has a better shot of playing a playoff game then any Of the Wings, Pistons, Tigers or Lions do the next 12 months. .

  8. how do we know Rose never bet against himself or rigged a game? Because he said so? Why should we believe him when he's lied repeatedly? And a player doesn't have to make a bet against himself to help gamblers. If he bets $10K on the first game but nothing on the second game.... well that's information right there for them to use. He can say he didn't bet against himself but the gamblers that he owes money to could still credit him. Betting on your team to win or lose is indistinguishable. They are the same. He agreed to the maximum punishment which was a permanent ban.

  10. Black lives matter is a terrorist organization. Everyone can see that by their rhetoric about killing police. Their comment on Rittenhouse is laughable especially coming from them. They spew enough hate and violence to last a lifetime.

  15. I'd argue that Fox News giving Rittenhouse a whole hour on Tucker Carlson probably does more to inflame the situation than CBS making a factual statement.

  17. You see the name of the thread? 😉 - Finally, the missing song from Team America! - Love that he avoided showing that the Earth was round when he blasted off it, don't wanna get the fan base upset. - Youtube: We're removing the dislike button Kid Rock: My time has come - Glad to see Weird Al and Joe Exotic finally collabed on a song - Wow this video has no dislikes, must be really good… - Nickelback can finally breathe a sigh of relief. - Finally a modern rock song for people who complain kids don't play outside but would yell at them to get off their lawn if they did.

  23. If you are looking for it to be a disaster, then you can make it one. You can do that with any president. I don't think he's a great leader, but I feel a lot more comfortable with him in charge than his predecessor. And the same guy he beat in 2020 is the leading Republican candidate for 2024 by a wide margin.

  24. The narrative runs deep with you. - It's not like this is all hearsay or even just witness testimony, there are tons of video's as well. He flat out ran from Rosenbaum, turned and pointed his gun to deter, and again, since Rosenbaum loves to get some underage ass, he kept going, which led Rittenhouse to try and run again. Yet with the narrative that he just wanted to look for more danger, instead of staying there and shooting others, including one that assaulted him right after the first attack, he is on video heading towards the police lines. - you say crowd of unarmed, even though Rosenbaum's fire setting accomplice was armed and later in the second incident, grosskreutz was armed. So the narrative is a guy legally taking a gun to stop crimes (the town burning down) is horrible and he was asking for trouble and got it, yet those, even if they thought he was an 'active shooter' were just trying to disarm him and you can't blame them. Haven't I been told that's a job for law enforcement in this thread? - To further note the comment 'unarmed people', Rittenhouse tried to turn himself into police. I'm sure you're well aware of the narrative that they just let the white guy go home after killing three BLM protesters. But the two cops that he approached pulled out their weapons on Rittenhouse and after he didn't stop moving towards them, they maced him. At that time they hear folks stating there is an active shooter, people are wounded, and still hear gunshots. Every witness that was called stated there were gunshots all night long. I can just see the narrative that you would be all on board with if the cops shot Rittenhouse. The WAPO headline would be "Cops further incite Kenosha riots as they kill man at BLM protest." Details would leak about that same kid was in a shooting previously with a white guy using the n-word and starting fires (as stated in testimony from multiple witnesses). Probably just another MAGA guy trying to make BLM look bad and after this kid justifiably shoots him, just tries to do the right thing and turn himself in, only to be shot by cops. ACAB!!!! Meanwhile Trigger and Archie would be on here saying "It was a justified shooting, he didn't listen to the cops, he was asking for trouble and got it". Well, Trigger would be saying it, but with a much more assholish theme to it.

  25. ESPN took a survey of 20 major league executives, as to where each suspected the "hot commodity" shortstops will land. They said: Javy Baez: Mets 10, Astros 3, Rangers 3, Cubs 2, Mariners 2 Carlos Correa: Tigers 10, Rangers 6, Yankees 3, Astros 1 Corey Seager: Yankees 12, Tigers 4, Rangers 2, Dodgers 2 Marcus Semien: Mariners 8, Tigers 5, Rangers 4, Blue Jays 3 Trevor Story: Rangers 8, Tigers 5, Astros 3, Yankees 2, Mariners 2 I can't begin to tell everyone just how thrilled that I am, none of them projected Javy Baez coming to the D.

  29. this is about 2 1/2 days of US supply, so its more for show than because it will actually affect any underlying supply condition. Not that 'for show' can't still affect that market. Small potatoes either way but I'd still call it a poor precedent. The Fed's probably can, and have, been more help with the port backups.

  30. As cynical as people are about Rittenhouse's appearance on Tucker, he's still an 18 year old who probably doesn't have fully formulated views on a lot of these issues. In a country where the voting populace tends to have much more mixed views on the issues than is portrayed in the media. So in that sense, maybe it shouldn't be surprising if he's more sympathetic to BLM than people realize.

  33. https://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/rittenhouse-tells-fox-news-racist-person-backs-blm-81344259 Uh-oh, Rittenhouse is flipping the script on the narrative. With a good PR firm, a year from now, instead of CPAC, he might be leading BLM rallies, with BLM allies noting he killed 2 white people that were sabotaging their peaceful protests, as the right calls him a socialist.

  36. I don't know you, but I think most people have good intentions and do not think they are racist. I also think most people are racist to some extent even if they don't know it. This includes Black people. Blacks were treated like animals for most of the country's history. That doesn't go away by passing a few laws and pretending everything is OK. We have made a lot of progress, but racism is part of the country's DNA and Black people still feel it every day.

  38. Alex Wood was a guy I wanted. After signing Eduardo though... I'm looking for a short-term signing to fill in at the back end... So I'm still not interested in Matz; who will get too many years and too much $$$. What.. he's going to take a rotation spot from Spencer Turnbull in 2023? I'm not on board. Give me Collin McHugh for 2 years, throws gas, keeps runners off the bases with a career 1.23 WHIP, and can operate either out of the BP or as a starter, similar to Alexander. McHugh can spot start/ 5th starter, or flip to the BP, as needed. But that's just me.
