  3. I don't know if I want Alex Jones to flip. It depends on who he flips on. I don't want him getting immunity unless he flips on someone worse than him and there aren't a lot of choices there.

  4. Illitch standing up hoping Miggy doesn't get a hit. Ticket sales and National media attention...priceless.

  5. If our rotation wasn't in such shambles Id suggest moving Pineda to the pen so he could fill the all important role of oversized reliever.

  6. I could see the feds telling him to pound sand. Same with a ratfucker like Stone. They aren't reliable.

  9. It was also a class act as he walked off the field at the end of the inning. Trying to quiet the crowd and indicating the score was 3-0.

  10. Its only a 1 game difference but 5-7 looks so much more respectable than 4-8.

  18. 1. I doubt that this is the first time he's been caught doing it and I'll just leave it at that with all the rumors flying around 2. You can't just whip your junk out and pee wherever you want in a place of business where other people are. Especially a high profile business. There was a bathroom nearby, he can use it like an adult in my opinion. If he can't walk 60 feet to the bathroom how can he do his job? What if this uncontrollable urge strikes him when he's driving the zamboni during an intermission? Does he just get to pee on the ice? If it is so bad he shouldn't be working anyways. I'm shocked people are giving him a pass on this. Frolunda (Edvinsson and Soderblom) will be live on ESPN+ in about half an hour for anyone who has it

  19. I think I made similar remarks about Green (and Billy Nowlin back in the day), though I tended toward the idea that they could hurt themselves with their glove, hence the reason they should only DH.

  20. He assisted on their GWG last night so hopefully this isn't a mirage! Slick little play to skate to the middle and pass it back:

  21. Now for a little good news—look who's ranking toward the top of the Statcast pitcher list! Maybe that 2016 RoY year wasn't a one-off after all.

  22. Any honest post-draft assessment of both players would have yielded, at best, a bench bat or fringe regular projection. The gap between that outcome and let's say, Dean Green, isn't very large, so even the slightest bit of skill degradation against more advanced pro arms and you're looking squarely a two org players that can hit a bit on occasion, or someone not unlike Dean Green.

  24. This season is looking more and more like '21. 2 starting pitchers have been injured and are out. Javy Baez gets injured early. We end up playing the AA law firm, Castro and Castro. Badoo looks like a confused turkey in a thunderstorm while trying to field his position. Barnhart looks like the catcher in the movie "Major League". Most of the team can't hit anything, unless they hit water when they fall off a pier on the Detroit river. The fielding and defense since Baez's injury doesn't approach 7 year old little league level. No one on this team can play in April, except Miggy. Bravo to Miggy for trying to ignite this team. Will this team win another game in April ? Why am I wasting my time following this baseball cesspool ?

  26. Miggie’s big day on deck. With 599 career doubles it would really be sweet if he got hit # 3000 with his 600th double.

  31. We see the shelf-life of RBs in this league, how in the world anyone could fault him for this stance is beyond me. Not to mention the value of WR in the league currently. He should absolutely protect himself.

  33. i didnt say the article was fake, it is click bait. how many airlines are there in "europe"? does the article say? does it compare how many have had cancellations becuase of covid, or just cite 2, one of which that has had some and the other who really hasnt had many? its click bait for people like you who have politicized covid and apparently have no risk tolerance for others (considering you said you never fly, correct?). and you clicked on it. mission accomplished.

  36. Way to run yourselves out of a potentially big inning, guys. We could have bases loaded and no outs with one run in right now.

  37. Modern warfare is a real mix. You can't train troops on the complex systems overnight. Giving a gun or an APC to a newbie is one thing. Teaching a small unit how to update its crypto every day, teaching the young officers how to call-for-fire or air support is harder. The Russians don't do those things apparently because they don't trust young officers to do those things. This is one of those organizational DNA things. The British and American armies have strong resilient NCO cadres which have saved their asses in fights all over the globe. We shared that with the Ukrainians and they have benefited a lot from that. The Russians do not have this NCO class and its made them rigid and inflexible.

  38. Did my taxes yesterday and am wondering how taxes are done in other countries. Do you have to file like we do in the US? Mine are pretty simple. My 21 year old's are exteremely simple. When I was his age I would get sent a book or go to the library, spend 15 minutes at the kitchen table, then mail them off. Now he had to pay $25 to efile. I spent $100. Been reading how companies like H&R and Turbotax have done their work to make it very hard to know how to file for free. We have to spend money to reconcile what we owe in taxes. I don't mind paying taxes. We need to. But the IRS has all of this information. Why can't they just send us something and we can say "yeah, cool, I agree, here's a check or here's my bank info, put it in." I still wish we had a flat tax on all income above a certain threshold, no deductions. Or make it X% until $Y, then graduate it if you want above thresholds.

  39. Highly recommend Severance on Apple+. It’s a little slow to get going but stay with it as the last two episodes are some of the best TV I’ve seen in years. I’m completely floored by the season finale.
