  4. Seeing what the states have done since Roe fell is all the people need to know their true intention. Nobody’s believing this is legit. It’s a starting point. It’s not moderate.

  5. If you're not picking Green Bay to win the SB every year from now on I'm going to hunt you down and beat you up.

  6. I did this as well. I think they send out the codes on Sept 27th...but league pass renews on the 29th. I'm guessing if you're not quick about putting the code in then your league pass will renew and charge you before you get the chance. Not exactly sure, but something to watch out for.

  7. I didn't realize until I typed up the OP just how similar Goff and Wentz's career has been in the seven years since they were drafted at #1 and #2 overall. 45-40-1 record for Wentz, 45-38-1 record for Goff... Wentz won a Super Bowl with the team that drafted him before falling out of favor, Goff led his team there before the same happening. Even just at face value, I think they're both very similar quarterbacks in their ability to both "not lose" games with the right talent surrounding them, as well as their general inability to put the team on their back and win a game by themselves.

  9. FYI if you buy 2K23 Championship Edition for $150 you get NBA Full Access League pass for 12 months. I payed $200 for that last year by itself!!!

  11. colleague here in Northern VA says that while walking by the parking lot of a Mclean Little League field (Mclean is one of the gold-plated suburb where a lot of the DC types have their suburban abodes), that he watched Tom Cotton yelling at his 7 or 8 yr old son about lack of effort on the baseball field "Great Santini-style." My daughter's team plays a softball team on Saturday from Mclean. I wonder if we will see other congress people with that team as it rides up in its Bugatti team bus.

  12. I'm not big on hitters worrying too much about launch angle, but Tork is one guy that could use a tad more loft in his swing.

  15. You can't change the fences! They have already been changed once, undoing the valuable work contributed by Randy Smith and John McHale Jr. They were highly qualified for their positions...their dads were famous baseball executives. They designed the park, by their own admission, for a "National League style of play", so that some day Bake McBride, Willie McGee and Vince Coleman could play the outfield for the Tigers. Imagine how crestfallen they were to learn that all three of them had actually retired before Comerica park had even opened.

  16. I'm in favor of this, if true Reports are going to lag. Propaganda is out there indicating all sorts of big sweeping things that isn't necessarily so. The most dangerous thing is people hearing some good news like this and then asking: "who will be in charge in Russia after the Ukrainians win?" That's like asking after the 1969 moon landings what life on Mars will be like.

  17. In these last couple weeks we need to find away to lose 11-0 and 12-0 to complete the whole baker's dozen of shutout loss scores. Definitely not putting it past the troops to pull that incredible feat off.

  18. Philly’s second drive was 16 plays, 97 yards (including 15 yards of penalties) and consumed 7:55. That’s a long time to hold the ball and it exposed the weakness of the DL. In which Brad Holmes has invested a lot of resources.

  19. Admittedly I haven't watched much the past couple weeks but it seems like Tork has been hitting the ball alot better cause I've seen a few tweets in that time that were similar to this

  20. The big thing is that they have more holes than they can possibly fill in one offseason... we can sit and talk about how we need to get a second starter or a catcher or address other holes, but they kind of have to triage and address the biggest holes first. The uncertainty at third is the biggest problem on the roster IMO... Kreidler stepping up is helpful, but I dont think they can rely on him alone going into next year. Whether that means bringing back Candy or going to the outside, we shall see.

  21. I've always wanted the Lions to have an outdoor stadium. But Ford Field is about as good as you can get for something indoors.

  22. I had to turn the sound off............these TV announcers are absolutely horrible. She is WAY too forced and it's phony and grating, like a dentist drill hitting a weak spot. And Jake Butt sounds like he's got cliche cue cards. Devin Gardner was much better doing the Lions preseason, he should be on this network.

  23. This reminded me of a funny story. The house we lived in when I was a young kid had an intercom system. It was a convenient way of getting five kids to come to dinner etc. So we sold the house and eventually one of the next owners, rather than removing the system or unplugging it, simply wallpapered over it. Fast foward a number of years, my neighbor next door, who still lives there, is a HAM radio enthusiast. Due to the age of the intercom system, it would occasionally pick up the signals from his HAM radio. The people thought the house was haunted because of the muffled voices coming out of the walls. Funny enough, it didn't even happen when he was using it. It was picking up random signals from all over the world so sometimes the voices would be speaking foreign languages.
