My buddy can speak to this. He was visiting his parents a few years ago and they had him come out and play pickleball with them. His back and foot hurt for a week after, he had trouble getting out of bed the following day. 70+ year old parents were fine though.2 points

I think it would get lots of attention, much like Cabrera's Triple Crown. The .400 chase I remember the most is George Brett in 1980.2 points

Peyton Graham may be turning a corner (or you know it could just be a small streak) but he has had a great day today (4/6 2 2B, HR and a SB) which has pushed his June totals to .342/.419/.474. Now that is only 10 games but he has been up ticking a bit since mid-May. Sure would be nice to get him going as he has true 20-20 potential.1 point

I'm ignorant on basketball knowledge compared to most here in the forum. But everything I read online about Gradey D. and everything I watch highlight wise makes me feel like he's Luke Kennard 2.0. Am I wrong in thinking this? How his Gradey different that Luke? As a reviewer on SB Nation put it he doesn't seem to have elite athleticism, a quick first step, length, great ball-handling skills , be an elite passer, or have the ability to draw fouls. He seems like a very talented spot shooter, who doesn't create his own shots, offering little else. How is that not Kennard 2.0?1 point

Of the top 12 pitchers by 2023 WAR on fangraphs just now, 7 are 1st round picks and Valdez was an international. Of the top 12 hitters by WAR, only 3 were 1st round picks (several internationals). Taking pitchers may have terrible injury risk, but I think they may be more projectable than hitters - so it's a conundrum.1 point

The way the Tigers jerked Castellanos around in the minors was a classic case of being stupid in this regard. If you have a good fielder, I think it makes a lot of sense to build his flexibility by learning new positions, but if you have a guy that starts out with a distant relationship to his glove to begin with - put him somewhere and leave him there to concentrate at getting as good as he is able.1 point

I hope so. There is promise there, but he’s going to have to figure out how to hit pitches beyond fastballs.0 points

So I posted an neat little video that I am sure you did not watch and try to lead you further with a google search. I am sorry there are no data points and a country currently in a massive war it is hard to say how far these ideas reach. I do know it is not made up or fabricated. I am fearful that at the end of the conflict that these folks with these ideas will try to take advantage of political vaccums during rebuild period to spread their hate. I could hold your hand further down this road but you are always the smartest guy in the room.. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Azov_Brigade0 points

How close are they to gaining control of or influencing the direction of Ukraine? Is Zelenskyy himself part of it? How do they factor into the big picture of what’s happening in Ukraine? What are the numbers we’re talking about, in terms of percent of population? How close are they to exerting their overall will in the conflict from the Ukraine side? Can you bottom line that for us?0 points

Is this true? I’m not arguing that it’s not, because I honestly don’t know, but I’ve seen nothing along these lines taht indicate that it’s a major or existential problem. Maybe because I’m hearing about Ukraine only from MSM, tweets and, frankly, posts here. What’s the evidence that neo-Nazis are prominent to the degree that they are a threat to gain control of or influence the direction of Ukraine? Because that’s the only way neo-Nazism in Ukraine would truly matter, right? Is Zelenskyy himself a neo-Nazi? That seems unlikely to me since he is reportedly Jewish. If he’s not, then who is and how do they and their followers factor into the big picture of what’s happening in Ukraine? What are the numbers we’re talking about, in terms of percent of population? How close are they to exerting their overall will in the conflict from the Ukraine side?0 points

Most of the Ukraine people are good folks and are stuck in utter hell right now. But do not lose sight there are many factions in Ukraine that are ultra right Neo Nazi types.0 points
