To be honest, at the risk of eliciting the disrespect of my peers, I didn’t follow game #2 very long and only checked in occasionally until the very end to witness Carpenter’s utterly unbelievable three-run home run which came at the end of a game marked most of the way by a tedious futility in which defeat seemed certain to me. The angst was too much for me. Instead, I spent $29.99 at Amazon to purchase then watch Deadpool & Wolverine which I’ve already seen three times at the theater to follow the rapid-fire dialogue on CC I’d previously missed. At the beginning of the film, as a result, I paused it to look up the word “pegging” which I urge none of you to search if you’re at work. GO TIGERS!!!4 points

Strangely, I feel no anxiety about the games at all. It's a great story regardless of the outcome. I get all the enjoyment and none of the anxiety.3 points

I saw a cyber truck in the wild for the first time today. It’s even more hideous in person. Why would anyone want to be seen in one of those? It’s like a PT Cruiser for rich people, but much more cringe.3 points

Skubal side note, in his last 7 starts dating back to August he has gone 45IP giving up 5 runs TOTAL with a remarkable 49 to 3 K:BB ratio. In 6 of those 7 starts he has given up 4 base runners or less. Going back to his last 11 starts he has given up 1 run or fewer in 9 of them(2 and 3 in the other 2). Just an absolute monster run right when the Tigers needed it the most.3 points

Yeah, he was never highly rated, but he did put up some good numbers. The boxscore watchers were right this time. He was a 19th rounder out of Virginia Tech. Briam Bluhm would have loved him.2 points

That makes me sad. He was one of my all-time favorite pitchers. I used to imitate him as a pitcher in Little League. It wasn't even on purpose.1 point

Bad teams with stupid owners do stupid things that keep them bad. The Browns, Jets, Panthers, Jaguars, Bengals, Raiders, and Titans all qualify. They might accidentally catch lightning in a bottle once a decade, but they’ll never have sustained success until their owner dies, is replaced by his elderly wife who always has sunglasses on, and then the wife passes it on to the daughter named Sheila who actually puts her best foot forward in fixing the losing culture.1 point

If Glenn gets a head coaching job, which I think is a real possibility, Saleh would be a front runner for the defensive coordinator job.1 point

I watched a little on Sunday too and was impressed. I think they can finally do it and break that 30 win mark.1 point

That catch was like the dress thing online from a long time ago...is it blue and black or white and gold? Depends on how you look at it1 point

Might as well take the series lead and put Cleveland on the ropes.1 point

Whatever it was called live is what was going to stand. I think it’s atrocious for an umpire to say that a ball that the naked eye can clearly see bounce bounced off of a small strip of fast moving leather as opposed to the ground though. He’s just blindly guessing at that point.1 point

I fessed up a few days ago as an inverse baseball fan for years, but have been drawn into this Tiger magic recently. My goal today was to avoid news until I could finish my part time job and be able to watch the game when I got home. Fat chance, right? But I did. Wow!!! What an incredible baseball game. It had it all. Drama for 9 innings. Zero runs until the 9th. And against Cleveland - spit - and I live in Ohio. I think I might have tweaked something when Carp hit the homer. I have now watched Skubal a couple of times. Small sample size, I know, but this guy is a Stud, with a capital S (I know, no **** Sherlock). Other than a little bump in the road in the 6th, I think it was, this guy was fricken lights out tonight (well, I guess a couple of timely double plays didn't hurt either). I love watching him. He's got a funny delivery, and it really fits into the fastball/change up thing that serves him so well. Deceptive. Along with a high 90 heater. Not hard to find guys with high 90 heaters, but all high 90 heaters are not the same. I'm guessing his is doing things others don't. This continues to be an incredible story.1 point

The photo is a lot nicer when your team wins obviously. It’s a great story.1 point

If days of rest were not an issue, I would have pitched Skubal in game 1. The sooner they win this series, the more days rest he gets before his first start in the third round of the playoffs. Keep pitching him as early as possible in each series and you might end up with an extra start out of him by the end of the World Series.1 point

If they had called it a trap and Cleveland challenged they wouldn’t have overturned it.1 point

I'm surprised they called it a catch live, normally on close plays like that they let the play out, too bad cause if they did it probably wouldn't have been overturned.1 point

Bankrupting the Federal government to create a crisis that would result in reduction of entitlements that are too unpopular to pass by other means has been a keystone GOP objective for 40 years. It just is. It's just silly or some kind of fantasy to ignore it. The party has been perfectly clear about it. You raised concern about the deficit, that is the fact of the deficit. You can call it partisan if you like, but that's reality and reality is what it is.1 point

I guess it fits here, but I came home from a week long trip working at Gen Con and our neighbors across the street have apparently started building a.......pyramid in their front yard??? Doesn't seem like it should be legal to me, I'm so confused over it haha.1 point
