Nope, and this one is actually 4 days for me because Monday is a day off too. Tonight, I got a pizza, saw the northern lights in person for the first time and watched the Tigers.6 points

This has been another great game that I haven’t enjoyed a single minute of.5 points

This is drop dead, one of the coolest things I’ve seen. This brings me such great joy. Many many years ago I drove my daughter who’s now 33 to Portland to see the White Stripes. It’s over an 8 Hour drive so she was serious about seeing “her first concert.“ I had overheard her playing The White Stripes in her room and I thought they were kind of like Led Zeppelin Lite. I didn’t listen very closely. But when I saw Jack and his sister on stage and they made as much music as six people, I couldn’t believe it. It was operatic, just amazing, an epiphany. Yeah, people who can do stuff like that are Tigers fans!4 points

They got beat because at crucial times they tossed big melons right down the middle of the strike zone. And they should have walked Ramírez, especially with a L/L matchup coming up next. He smoked it. Probably against baseball Hoyle, but he ain't gonna beat me. Old school stuff. I look forward to Saturday, and watching Skubal. No matter what happens, what a run, what a story. Still reminds me of the 1980 Olympic hockey team. Incredible stuff. Thank you!3 points

THIS IS HOW you message against Trump towards working class people. Love what Walz had to say here.2 points

Maybe Carp can be ready enough to hobble up to the plate as a pinch hitter like Kirk Gibson for an unforgettable 9th inning home run.2 points

More from last night's Obama appearance. Dems need to hammer this home. My feeling has long been that a certain percentage of men are afraid of women leaders. I'm married to a strong intelligent woman and over the past 45 plus years have watched how she's been passed over for several promotions because of the "Boys Club" in her industry. And with a woman of color it's probably more prominent2 points

We've got Skubal on Saturday. I mean, that's who you want. This team can't possibly break my heart at this point. This is all just gravy. No matter what happens Saturday you have to call this a massively successful season.2 points

Nobody did, but you could hardly dream up a better scenario than the presumptive Cy Young winner on the line for you.2 points

I thought that with the Lions. Hey, we made the playoffs. That's an improvement, no matter what happens. Nope! We're here. I want to win. Too hard to get here. Thankful TP isn't a Tigers fan.2 points

I heard they moved the game to 1. Is it still ok to have Malloy DH?1 point

Was thinking the same. We'd only miss out on 1-2 ABs from him. Now the key is keeping him around for the ALCS. A Bligh Madris sighting is enough to depress a guy.1 point

My buddy and I are going to a play tomorrow at 200pm, something we booked in August. I was thrilled when the game was announced for 708pm Central. Now, this, because of course this. 😩 So I will miss the end of the game. Here’s hoping we’re blowing them off the field by the time 200pm rolls around.1 point

I’ve actually liked this TBS crew. Brian Anderson’s call of the Carpenter home run arguably was better than that of Dan Dickerson.1 point

May be approaching midnight for us. Even if we get past the Guardians, will be tough to progress with Carp and Rogers out, if that happens. Who would get added to the roster—Baddoo and Liam Hicks?1 point

When Carlos Monnoroz said the series was over today in his article...I knew hubris had us by the ass.1 point

And then there's this... it's always the part that gets me, he wouldn't be able to keep or hold a job as a normal person... or if he were a member of any of our families we would be finding alternative living arrangements for him. But as President? Greatest democracy in the world, yet he's better (or the same) as the alternative because reasons I guess. It's farcical.1 point

Yep, 7 outs away from the ALCS is as close as they might be for the next few years, even if they keep getting better. Look at Baltimore. I will be very disappointed if they lose Saturday. The season will have been a success, but I’ve allowed my expectations - or at least my hopes - to rise.1 point

Tigers lose, Wings losing. I’ve got the ol’ man blues.1 point

We're set up for a 3-run walkoff homer to win a postseason series in the second week of October.1 point

But if he were on the Tigers we’d all love him. Just a good fundamental player1 point

True. What I remember, which is pretty sketch because it was damn long ago, is that Hammer was sympathetic to Russia, but not disloyal - not in the anti-American way we see with Russia's modern American provocateurs.1 point
