I want both teams to lose so it’s all good. In fact of all 4 teams left I really don’t want any of them to win.4 points

As somebody with a family member going through dementia it was triggering when the right was flippantly playing the dementia card earlier this year, making jokes about it. Same is true of the left right now.2 points

No respect for people that quit 30 seconds before the curtain goes up. I'm sure he has freshman he recruited and he quit before they played their first game. He should have just said it's his final season and finish things up.2 points

The UM regents, in a moment of sanity have struck a blow against virtue signaling and have adopted an institutional neutrality bylaw. Students and staff should get a reprieve from inboxes full pronouncements from their Deans , managers and administrators about every issue of day that have nothing to do with their mission.2 points

It makes sense white baseball players are Trumpers. Latinos are taking their jobs.2 points

No. Burfict had issues dating back to college at Arizona St and then multiple ones in the NFL. Garrett had one very bad moment five years ago. He’s been voted to the pro bowl by his peers 5 times since and was also voted the 5th best player in the league last in a player vote. The rest of the league doesn’t see him as a dirty player and either should you.2 points

I'm troubled by the polls the last week or two. Despite the cherry picked ones here telling another story.1 point

Yes, he does. The Tigers are so White now that even the Blacks look White. Not that it matters, but is this the whitest Tigers team in the last 50 yeas?1 point

If anyone is interested there are a couple of big political events happening tonight. Governors Whitmer, Shapiro, and Evers are going to be at the Michigan Democratic Party office at 5pm in Ypsilanti tonight. Senator Elizabeth Warren is going to be at the MDP office in Belleville at 7pm if anyone is interested in going. Harris is in town in Detroit as well.1 point

When asked about the rumors Za'Darius Smith said "he would like it" if he were traded to the Lions. He's somebody that I could see the team going after and not the big splash move.1 point

All this talk of Crosby yet zero talk that the Raiders are even remotely interested in trading him. None of this matters if he's not on the trade market. Maybe Crosby demands a trade like Adams did but until then this is pure fantasy. Even the same with Hendrickson where there's zero talk of the Bengals being interested in trading him although I do believe he requested a trade in the offseason so maybe slightly realistic?1 point

I always saw Vierling's value as his versatility. You don't neglect to fill a regular spot b/c you have Vierling but you have Vierling around to fill those holes that always pop up, either through injury, slumps, or days off. 4 days a week you'll need to fill one of those.1 point

Assuming good health, I wouldn't expect Vierling to ever outperform Bregman. We have to remember that Vierling is only two years younger.1 point

From what I've read so far Trump channeled the dirty version of Rodney Dangerfield at last night's Al Smith Dinner. Probably rehashed his campaign schtick similar to the one he did in 2016. Meanwhile Harris gave us this intro1 point

True, the Stafford trade jump started an impressive rebuild. Brad may have drafted us into a good team without the trade, who knows? But I don't think Stafford will stick around for a Rams rebuild, he'll probably be traded. Or retire....1 point

A lame and artless attempt at trolling like this is generally unworthy of comment, and is only interesting because of its infrequence. Trolling has really gone downhill. I guess Karl Marx was right about history repeating itself first as tragedy, and the second time as farce.1 point

Just to play Devils advocate for a minute - The counter point to going after Bregman is that you have a 3 WAR player in Vierling who may not have a place to play if Carpenter, Meadows and Greene stay healthy or Wenceel improves a little more or AHM locks down DH. Now granted, Vierling's D in the OF is plus while his play at 3rd is maybe average at best, but even given that, how much are you willing to commit for an upgrade that may be not be that big (WAR wise, Bregman was 4.1 last season, Vierling 2.9) if it turns out he's replacing Vierling instead of Jung?1 point

Wow. I could see 2 or 3 years without a playoff appearance but this is never ending. And the year we were close, Stevie sold instead of bought because he didn't consider us serious contenders. I love Yzerman but he wouldn't be the first great player that didn't deliver a winner for the Wings.1 point

Don't worry. Only 7 more years and Kasper & Danielson will be here.1 point
-
Wow. Yzerman's free pass needs to come to an end here. We all felt he didn't do enough this offseason to improve this team and this defense. I know the Rangers are good, but this is an awful start to the season. I didn't know the Yzer-Plan was a 15-year plan.1 point

You’re not fooling anyone with this crap. Does this amuse you? There are people out there with real mental health problems, and this vapid trolling just makes sport of their issues. Go find something constructive to do.1 point
